my test was cancelled b/c of weather.
My hospital requires us to take step 3 by the end of January. We have to be fully-licensed by July 1 in order to move on to PGY2 and they had some problems last year with people waiting to take it and then failing. Of course, I'm stuck taking COMLEX, so its always a crapshoot. 🙄

They are based on your local jurisdiction. AFAIK they are outlawed where I live, because it doesn't ice much here. However, some places won't let people drive without them (or chains or something).
 
That is one thing I hate about the SUV craze. All these crazy people that think because their car has OMG--AWD--- that they can just drive as fast as they can if it is a dry day. Yep, all four wheels are driving, right into the back of my car, my mailbox, a telephone pole, 5 cars in the mall parking lot, etc.

My brother is the same way with his Tacoma just because he has a brushguard. The roads get wet and mossy here sometimes (not really a comparison, I'm just saying) and he's just like "oh well, the only thing that's gonna get hurt is whatever I run into." I tried to explain the concept of a BRUSHguard to him.
 
Chains or snowtires are supposed to be used here when they put out the notice on tv. I don't know of people getting pulled over for that reason, but the law permits the police to pull you over for not having them on your vehicle. Also, if you don't have them and you get in a wreck (esp if the other person does have them), I'm pretty sure it usually ends up being at least slightly your fault...but I'm not sure on that one. I'm not sure...I just don't drive (the advantages of living across the street from school). Started snowing again today...school closed early again. If we could only have a full day off, I could get caught up 🙄
 
Oh...and yes..SUVs do cause a lot of problems. This morning it was a semi though (that caused a huge problem).
 
another distal radius today.. the downside is it was another 14 hour day..

NOthing like pulling as hard as i can (I can bench 250 or so) on a guys wrist. then checking it under flouro to see it move.
 
I just love snow days...too bad technology is so good. Still have lectures, just online now. This requires self-motivation.

That is just great :laugh: But truthfully, I'm in the same boat with some guy, so I'm the last one that should give any advice on this.

Apparently the Koreans have a cellphone with a breathalyzer in it. You have to blow in it and pass before you can make a call. (I'm not making this up - I heard it on NPR so it must be true.)

Todd, it apparently was invented for exactly this situation. DO NOT call her until you get one of these.:laugh:

I am stuck in the airport waiting for my connecting flight, and there's not enough seats. So I'm sitting on the floor. And I want my flight to arrive. I also need to pee, but I don't want to get up and miss my flight. Ahhhhhhh 🙁
