My entire application was just finished today actually. MCAT score must be emailed to them I believe for masters with a verification code (i.e. print score report on AAMC.) I hope that helps and good luck!

PCOM's entire philosophy is based on "treating the whole person." That also translates into everything, even their application process, I believe there are no cutoffs. They tend to make a decision on the entire application. Congrats @tongan_mom!! I only applied to Philly. I also have the $250 on my application portal. I believe that means I have been accepted.

Yes, conditional acceptance does have specific requirements. But after the foundation year, you can do the MCAT prep school provides with KAPLAN. Work on it, I believe you have to get 50th percentile. Which means 500 I hope, 3.3 GPA, 3.2 sGPA. Ace the interview, which can be done in theory with preparation. My point was they give you a chance to prove yourself without the MCAT cutoff for the masters.
I have to retake my MCAT too, since it was taken in May 2017. I got a 505, I am going to try to take it before I start.
If you don't meet the conditional acceptance requirements of the overall AACOMAS sgpa of 3.2 but meet all the requirements for guaranteed interview is it likely to still get in if your masters gpa is good?
You would still have to keep your GPA for the foundation year above 3.2 and finish the masters successfully I believe.

SO then how does the guaranteed interview work? And what is the difference between the two tracks? B/c you can still get a guaranteed interview without the overall sgpa for AACOMAS being a 3.2, but need the sgpa for the conditional acceptance. Sorry just trying to understand the process since there's no proper information on their website.
In theory, you can get accepted after the interview. Most SMPs only do a guaranteed interview if you meet certain criteria (Drexel IMS, Georgetown, etc). This is usually for students who do not manage to bring their MCAT score up to 50th percentile. That way an interview is given and a chance to get acceptance.
So since my score is a 505 most likely I would have to complete both years if by Dec 1st I don't meet the requirements of the conditional acceptance?
You have to submit an application by Dec 1st. They will most likely look at our fall and winter grades. Based on that, give us an interview then a conditional acceptance. You just have to maintain your GPA at that point for the spring semester. Then start DO school fall 2021. This is the best-case scenario.

I guess it's just a gamble whether you get in through the guaranteed interview or make the gpa for conditional acceptance and then kill the interview and all from there or finish the second year/ finish year 1 with the certificate. I just wish their website had some better details on the process. But thanks for patiently explaining!

Not a gamble at all, just a LOTTT of hard work to maintain that GPA! That's it. Assuming one meets the MCAT and sGPA requirement.
Yea I guess for me it's that whole guaranteed interview vs. conditional acceptance b/c they have different requirements and some old threads were saying some bad stuff about the guaranteed interview process and it all just confused me haha. But you're right! Just a lot of hard work and when we make it to DO school it'll be worth it!
In regards to the Kaplan program, the MCAT requirement and he 1 yr track. Same with the sGPA requirement, we have to meet the 50th percentile before the 1 year mark or before we enter the program ? That's another part of my application that is lacking and participating in the Kaplan course with other cohorts would be amazing.
I would take it before going into the SMP for DO matriculation after foundational year 1. You don't want to study for MCAT while you are taking SMP classes. In theory, you can take the exam in Spring 2021 and submit your MCAT scores. That's just my opinion tho.
Should I apply now to the program or after my MCAT retake? I wanted to retake the MCAT in the program if I get in because they provide MCAT prep, which is really helpful! My MCAT was a 125/122/124/127! I hate CARS lol I do not want to apply late to the program and have it fill up, yanno? Also, I did a pharmacology minor and got a 3.957 in it, and it was all masters level classes.

South Georgia has its own 4-year DO program too, as a PCOM Biomed we can apply to all three campuses. Also, any other DO programs would look at this SMP favorably.
Only take the MCAT after you know it will be the last time you EVER take it again. @Cooper1990 mentioned PCOM does NOT superscore. They will look at your older scores. That being said, study immensely and finish with a SOLID score! You can get in with your stats. They accept a lot of students up to March. I would not take the MCAT before the program, which you can do. Good luck!
Your stats are good. Why do a SMP? Have you applied to DO schools before? I bet you get in somewhere.
