Pittsburgh Student Interviewer E-mail?

For those who got into Pitt Med, how long after your interview did you receive a congratulatory e-mail from your student interviewer if any at all. I interviewed Jan. 19 and I'm startin to get a little nervous.

For those who got into Pitt Med, how long after your interview did you receive a congratulatory e-mail from your student interviewer if any at all. I interviewed Jan. 19 and I'm startin to get a little nervous.

Sadly, my guess is you have a ways to wait. 😳 I interviewed on December 1st and with the holidays thrown in there, I didn't hear back from my student interviewer (and then faculty interviewer the next day) until January 21st (So 7 weeks and 2 days - believe me, I was counting DOWN!!! 😀 ) It took another few days to get the snail mail packet in the mail.

i got one about a week before I received an acceptance officially by mail. i think pitt got back to me within a month of my interview, but my interview was in sept so they weren't backed up at that point.

remember that both the student interviewer and faculty interviewer have the OPTION of emailing you and congratulating you... they don't have to. Sit tight and camp out at the mailbox.

im going to guess that less and less student interviewers/faculty interviewers are sending these congratulatory emails since we're deep into the interview season (they probably have to send multiple ones a week... and that must get to be too much).

Didn't they tell you 4-6 weeks? That's what they were saying when I interviewed in mid-October. To answer your question, I interviewed 10/17, got congratulatory email from faculty interviewer (never got one from the student) on 11/18. Then the official letter was there 4 days later.

Its only been like 3 weeks for you! i interviewed on the 16th and am not expecting anything for 6-8 weeks.
