Not yet. I just interviewed. I read on last year's SDN that some ppl thought PSTP applicants got auto-waitlisted, but that doesn't rlly make sense bc they are separate programs/app processes.

When I interviewed last month they said that it would come out within a month so I would assume either this Thursday or next

I got the same email. Not sure if its a good or bad sign. I guess this means no decision coming this week and probably will have to wait a couple more weeks?

Are we allowed to use both updates or is the second for post-decision if waitlisted? Because their FAQ website says they only allow one update so I'm kinda confused

In my interview, they said one update before interview, one update after interview but pre-decision, and then if you get waitlisted, I believe the option for one more update shows up. So if you’ve already given one update after your interview, I don’t think you can give another.

I interviewed at the end of January. Does anyone know when those decisions might come out or if it already passed?
I'm in the same situation. They sent an email last week saying the final decisions would be released in "upcoming weeks" so I guess it could be any day now.

Has anyone gone through the PSTP interview day yet or does anyone know what to expect
It's really hard to predict since things are shaken up this cycle. I wouldn't be surprised if decisions came this week. Regardless we will definitely have decisions by end of March...
Why were things shaken up? Is it because of lots of applications or the new system they're using or something?
They got a whole new team up there. New adcoms, deans, I think
I am on the waitlist. (looks like everybody who interviewed is waitlisted like UCSD). What can I do to increase my odds of getting off the waitlist? I am writing a few papers right now. What else do you think might help?

Guys I heard this school is notorious for having vicious teachers and students are constantly being presented to something called a committee or something and being dismissed left and right. No support at all to any challenge u may face, you’ll be dismissed and have your dreams crushed. The new assistant dean I head pushes the admin to be mean because he wants to take credit for making the school’s step 1 pass rates high. Also, several students failed step exams from this new curriculum. Don’t dare go there guys I have a friend there who tells me students cry blood. You will face life challenges in med school be it breakups, passing of loved ones, just bad mental health, I personally went through a breakup but my school is very supportive (a bit up north from Pitt university med), and my friends there just hate their lives. Faculty is extremely mean when you are going through a tough time and they will dismiss and crush your dreams forever all because you’re a human facing challenges. Please don’t go there, a mid tier med school is better than Pitt if the mid tier med school makes you a doctor but Pitt kicks you out. They will have no mercy on your academic career.

Seriously though please don’t be enticed by the name of they will end up dismissing you for minor reasons or struggling for a bit. If you have other options, please please consider them even if they’re expensive cause I am telling you that place is horror. Allegedly this year or last year a med student there committed suicide and the admin is just vicious and heinous. You’ve been warned I am telling you guys.
