So, I have access to the admissions portals for CSU, WSU, and Ohio.

However, I not only don't have portal access to Oregon, Davis, & Wisconsin, I also haven't received any confirmation yet that they have received my application. I sent my supp app to Oregon (along with all my transcripts) via FedEx, and I know it arrived there on the 29th. Wisconsin did confirm receipt of that 1 page thingie they wanted us to submit, but no word yet about the app. And for Davis, I mailed the "special interest" (whatever it's called) 1-pager to them 7-10 days ago.

I'm presuming no one has heard from these 3 schools yet, but figured I better ask just in case.

At least last year, UC Davis did not have an online portal. I think they send out emails a couple months after the deadline telling you what they have/what they're missing, if anything, but it takes them a while to go through all of the applications.

I sent my supp + transcripts to Oregon last Friday. I haven't heard anything pertaining to whether or not they got it.

Yeah, pretty much if things are as they have been for the last 4 years or more, don't expect to hear from them until November-December as to whether your application is complete.

Wow. Frustrating. This process is difficult for a control freak!

When I applied, Oregon didn't have an online portal...they're kind of low tech in that aspect. They're also kind of slow compared to other schools, maybe because we're on the quarter system. If you really need confirmation, contact Holly Bell, but keep in mind that right around now they are very busy. You should eventually hear something saying your application is complete.

the only reason I know Oregon got my application is that they cashed the $50 supplemental fee check yesterday.

OMFG!!!! I think I forgot to put the check in with the application! 😱

Oh wait a second...crisis averted, I think. I'm pretty sure I gave them a credit card number (she said, pushing stomach back down throat to proper position below diaphragm).

You definitely have to at least fake patience when dealing with the process for UCDavis. The people in the admissions office are amazing people, but the way the process is set up can be difficult to handle.

Rest assured though, they aren't going to just toss your application if something is missing. They will get ahold of you and give you some time to get whatever you're missing to them and your app will get reviewed in time. 🙂

Thanks, Nyanko. It is a bit disconcerting (to say the least) to throw application materials into the VOID, and know that I will hear nothing (not even a receipt confirmation) for months.

Especially when it involves a school whose website says absolutely everything must be submitted by Oct 1st or your app will not be considered (thinking specifically of Oregon here). I'd hate to spend 2-3 months wondering if I'm making the cut only to find out that my app was flushed down the toilet on Oct 2nd and nobody bothered to tell me! :scared:

Yeah....Davis isn't so up to date on that sort of thing. They'll let you know if you're missing something. I got my "Your app is fine" letter on 11/23 last year, so I would only panic if you haven't heard something from them by mid december or so.

For Wisconsin, you will get an email from them, but not right away. I think mine came last year in November or late October giving me a user name and password to their portal. You can call the OAA here, they're super nice and will tell you all the info you want.
