I am currently enrolled in a calculus based physics course, and I am doubting whether I can pass it or not. I want to withdraw and take an algebra based physics course, because I feel I will do significantly better (B+ to A).
My question is that do I need calculus based physics for dental school? How will a W grade look on my application?

Take the W, one or two on your transcript is insignificant.

Depends on the school, but I'm pretty sure they need calc based physics? If you're concerned about not passing, take the W. As long as you only have a handful, the W's mean nothing.

I did algebra based physics, and none of the schools I interviewed at said there was a problem with it. There might be some schools that take calc based only though (not sure on that).

The requirement is algebra based. Take the W. I had 1 and no one ever asked.

I got two Ws and a C. Not a problem at all!

I would take the W. Algebra-based physics should be fine, I don't think you need to retake the calc-based course.
