I noticed that a lot of residencies pay in the $42 K range. How do people afford their living expenses and do loan payback during that year? ANy suggestions on what people have done?

i know someone in med school going into residency with $200K in loans and they are able to pay off $1,000 each month to student loans and live decently in a big city...so i would say it's possible for a pharm student to do the same since residencies pay the same

I live off of $10K now, so $40K is a lot compared to that. Even though a payment of $1000/month is nothing compared to my-over-$100K-debt.

highest pay residencies in CA is 50k a year, but that's the highest i've heard of that's within and outside of CA. really depends on where u go to.. i've seen some at 32k.
