Okay, so there's been a lot of drama in my house lately (to the point I'm planning on going to nursing school just to get the f*** out of here; my family is really abusive)...and I wanted to hear from others that have said "screw you" to their parents and left instead of getting pushed into what they want. I'm seriously considering picking up a job as a CNA and putting myself through tech school (there's one right across a river from me) to start work as a certified vet tech to get through school.
My family's pretty abusive, and I was leaning towards nursing because it pays better than anything I've ever done before and it's something that's somewhat medically related. I know I made that huge long ranty-thread etcetc, but anyways...what I wanted to know...
For others who left/started supporting themselves at 18/19/whenever, how did you manage it? I have some place to live if my mom kicks me out, though it's 30, 40 minutes north of where I live now (and north of the school with the tech program)...
