Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

With all that said, let the green flag wave! Boogity Boogity Boogity!!!

What's wrong?

I like your new avatar by the way. I don't feel the need to through some PTU at him. 😉

It's just one of those days! Yeah.... I guess Elmo does look more normal this way  😉

The dogs in our building won't stop barking, omg! Once they bark my dog starts barking too.....geesh!

Ok enough....I need to buckle down and get some studying done!

My role as human pincushion has begun.

Also, in case you did not know this, they use abnormally large needles for blood cultures because they take so much. Yay.

okay - I'm off to Houston for the weekend (I'm hoping I have a place to stay; the girl whose house I'm staying in forgot to call and tell me where the key is 🙁 ) Have a great weekend, randomites! I'll see you in part 7, I'm sure

Soo....basically I only have to take 12 hours the rest of my 3 semesters and I will still graduate with 160 hours.

I dunno if I just want to waste away and only take 12 or try to challenge myself before getting kicked in the face during med school.

Ugh, this anticipation is officially worse than waiting for MCAT score release. My stomach actually hurts. I think I'm getting an ulcer.

Too much stress in my life.

Watch me not hear until tomorrow. 😡

Graduate early, go travel or do something crazy, and have lots of cool stories for interviewers. They love listening to stories.

It's just my guess. They made decisions on Wednesday. So I assume I will get something in the mail today (unless they were mean and didn't put the letter in the mail until yesterday - then I might not find out until tomorrow).

have you tought about calling? It's probably not the best idea but I wouldn't be able to take that if I were you. I mean, they already made the decision so it's not like they can take it back

I don't want to be a pain in the butt. 😉

I will DEFINITELY call on Monday if I haven't heard from them, though because Sunday is the EDP decision deadline.

And now I have to start thinking about whether or not I should even try applying to UCSF or Stanford if this school doesn't take me. Both of those schools would be doable, but I'd be living with my parents again (scary, thought!!!) and only seeing my hubby on weekends for 4 years. Not ideal. 🙁

But if for some reason you do get rejected from edp (and I don't think you will), you still get thrown into the regular pool right? Or does that tend to not work out? (I don't know much about edp)

I'll just get put in the regular applicant pool.

Hoping that doesn't happen, though .... 🙁

If I graduate early I'd lose my scholarship money. That's a few grand just for showing up to school.

I'd love to travel so I'm thinking about taking a summer before school trip.

Don't challenge yourself with anything that involves hard work just for the sake of feeling like you might be "losing a step." I doubt that happens. People would kill to be in your position, take advantage of it. I mean, unless you love taking hard classes:laugh: Just my two cents

I dunno. I think it would be a stretch to get everything done by December Graduation. I'll check the hours I'd need to take.

The only bad thing is I'd have to get a job. I'd want something good but would only be there for like 9 months. If I just spread it out, my scholarship would pay living expenses and I could keep having Fridays off.

Another thing you have to consider is healthcare. I never really thought too much about it until I realized I was off my parents plan because I graduated. I was praying I got this job. Those cobra plans suck. Plus it's nice to have dental and vision if you had that with your parents.
