I wasn't sure what to make of the news. I know you can be overwhelmed, and you can be underwhelmed, but can you ever just be whelmed?
Here, here!

My first reaction was "but he was so hot!" (as if hot people weren't allowed to die in the prime of their lives), and then that was tempered by the realization that I wouldn't have to see any more bad movies just because they had Heath Ledger in them.
😉
So anyway, hello everyone!
It's been far too long . . . life has been pretty crazy recently, but I think it's about to settle into some normalcy (finally). I started biochem last week, and I'm not so sure what to make of the class. It's not going to be structural biochem

🙂, but there are only two tests
🙂eek
🙂 and all questions are "short answer" - no problem-solving, no drawing, etc. . . . which is wierd, I think.
😕 Oh well! I'm hoping I can snag an A and move along.
In other news, I got my first thin envelope yesterday. It was pre-secondary from UCLA (shocker).
🙄 I had been expecting it for a while, given that I was verified by AMCAS in mid-November, and I hadn't gotten a secondary yet. I can't imagine that they would actually want more applications at this point! At least they didn't waste my money.
👍
Still no news from anywhere else, though . . . I hope that changes soon for the better. The thought of starting this whole process again in just a few months is depressing! And a litte anxiety-inducing, seeing as how if that's the case, I should probably start re-vamping my personal statement sometime around now so it's ready in June. Ugh. I think I'll procrastinate on that a bit. I'll use the excuse that it would be bad luck to start prepping for next application season when I still have 8 schools to hear from!
Random tidbit - I used the long weekend to visit my mom in the Detroit area, which was freezing, but fun. We went to see "27 Dresses," which - for all you randames out there - was a great chick flick. Predictable, for sure, but that's how I like my silly girly movies.
😀 I may also be biased by the fact that this is the first movie I've seen in the theater since the latest Bourne movie (small screen just doesn't cut it for those).
Ok, back to work . . . ugh.
