My computer has me change my password every 3 months, which has been annoying but not annoying enough for me to track down a way to change the settings. Anyway. I was prompted to change my password on Sunday, and I must have immediately forgotten it, because I have tried EVERYTHING that seems even remotely possible and nothing is working. I'm locked out of my computer. :yeahright:

Every time my work computer makes me change the password, I either just add punctuation or change a number. I'm not bright enough to remember anything beyond that when they make me change it twice a year.

My old work computer made us change passwords every three months and we couldn’t reuse any of the last 5 passwords (or something like that) so I started using the season and the year, so now it would be Spring2018. Worked great.

I just started adding numbers... between undergrad and vet school at ncsu, I got up to "xxxx12" lol
 
We have to change school passwords every six months, but for a while the system was dumb and let me just use the most recent password for the new one. This time it did not :'(

Same, it's smart enough not to accept the same password.

I had to restore factory settings, which means everything I haven't backed up (about a month of work) is gone. I'm just really glad I've saved most of my files. It's not as awful as it could have been.

Pffft you want my loans go for it. It's not like I have any money for you to steal. Someone already beat you too it! 😛 My identity has been stolen over 20 times since someone broke into my car an took all my personal documents on my trip out here.

I work in a lab and tried to call a client today simply to clarify how one of their specimens should be submitted because I caught that the way they were storing it would cause a delay in processing and let's just say I found out that the owner of the animal it came from is a malpractice attorney and one quick phone call turned into multiple long ones. I told my boss who said "omg what they (the hospital) really needs is a necropsy" and then jokingly said to me "This is what you get for being proactive" 😵

I just checked the SSA website because I thought it was weird they wouldn’t do that anymore, and it says that they’ll assign a new one if “A victim of identity theft continues to be disadvantaged by using the original number”
Idk but you seem to fit that category.....

Lol I just checked too, I was told they didn't do that anymore but maybe I'll have to call them to find out. Now if I could squeeze that in between tests... how about this summer? :arghh:

Yeah, it's definitely still a thing. Maybe they just don't do it automatically if you lose your SS card anymore though?
 
Hello hello. I’m popping back in to say that I hate prednisolone. It is day 2 of 6 on my script, I could not sleep last night. I’m mentally shot, and I’m headed to bed, but my body isn’t tired/ won’t let me sleep again tonight. It’s gonna be a fun night. Imma roundhouse kick the next doctor who puts me on pred, okay?

(Not soliciting medical advice. Just complaining.)

Better! Minimal pain, except for when touched/ talking, and even then it’s not too bad! Lip swelling has almost completely gone down! Sites of impact are starting to peel so my doctor is stressing constant coverage with vitamin E and gasoline so other than that, it’s not a huge issue!

Random rant but I thought I'd put it here so I can stop fuming about it. 😛

I am getting my bachelors this May through a program here and decided to walk even though I'm not technically an undergrad anymore. My parents are really busy people with my other five siblings and haven't really been able to be anything other than passively supportive of me, which I can understand. But I was talking to my mom and sister about graduating and they were both complaining about how it was an inconvenience for them to drive 1.5 hours for my graduation because they already went to my induction ceremony for vet school this year. My sister told me that earning my degree was "easy" and therefore I shouldn't walk?
I worked my tail off for that degree. Yeah, the goal was to go to vet school and yeah, I'll probably never directly use my BS but that's doesn't negate the years I put into it. I'm tempted to just skip the drama and ask them not to come. I'm walking across that stage for myself, and not for them, anyway. :annoyed:

I’m sorry they’re being canoes. An hour and a half isn’t even a long drive to see their kid/sister graduate. Yeah, you’re already in vet school, BUT ITS STILL A BIG DEAL.
 
@strider144 you may or may not have thought about showering, but I highly recommend getting one of the sleeves because it's soooo much easier than trying to figure out a bag and making it watertight.

I've done this a number of times (it sounds like similar if not exact same surgery) so feel free to chat with me about it



my rant is that we're actually going to have to put a plate on my proximal phalanx of my pinky toe. It seems rather ridiculous. I'm going on 3.5 months of no healing

Bah, your new family will be there for you. There are usually a few from the '21 class walking, so y'all should have a fan section for everyone for the Bachelor Veterinary Peeps. Then they cheer the loudest from a single section and all the rest will be jelly. haha
 
Yay. Got back from the doctor- sinus infection!

Dr was asking me my interests in treatment/ symptom relief and asked if I was wanting to do a Neti Pot. Hahahaha no, you can take your Naegleria fowleri, no sir-reee! I chuckled, mentioned my justifiable aversion towards brain-eating amoebas and she laughed. :laugh:

Ahh no. It’s causing the bronchitis. So luckily it’s a short course of azithromycin, finish off the pred, cough meds, allergy meds, etc! So I should be good to go when you get here!!! 😍
 
I'm happy it's Easter weekend but we have a HUGE anatomy exam on Monday... it includes equine Pelvis, equine male/female repro, equine pelvic limb, equine head, ruminant neck/back, ruminant thoracic limb, and ruminant thorax.... .Tuesday can't come soon enough :arghh:😴
 
What is it lately with all the people getting hung up on stupid rankings?!?! It's like every time I turn around there's some post about someone hung up on the ranks vs looking at what actually matters. Sigh. I just have been contemplating leaving all social media of any sort because it annoys me in general. We have a class page though and I'm part of a few great page resources for moving. I'm just grumpy, tired, and annoyed. Carry on [emoji4]
