Band Nerds and Orch Dorks have the wildest parties. Second only to Theater Kids. The Jocks never got close.

Facts!!!! At my school it was well known that the TTP (theater tech production) people threw the wildest parties and can confirm. When i joined a social sorority junior year frat parties has nothing on them lol

Also in retrospect idk how i was fine drinking jungle juice out of a storage bin and now i side eye people coughing without a mask lol

Meanwhile my feed is full of baking and restaurants I should be going to lol. And food I'm 'not supposed' to be eating such as sushi and lunchmeat

on my personal page, i get engagement content (i think i’m getting proposed to this year ?!?) but on my vet page its all decisions and politics 😔

I feel like being able prove we went through undergrad before AI existed should absolve us of any suspicion 😂

An em dash - a way to interrupt your sentence in a relevant manner - is becoming the hallmark of AI. I prefer it for sarcastic asides and over explanation.

i’ve noticed i often find it hard to identify something written by AI because a lot of the time it writes like I write (em dashes included)😭😭 i don’t know how to change my writing and still sound professional, so i just haven’t 🤷‍♀️

I have to put this somewhere (besides my spouse and my commiserating colleagues and my therapist). I am not okay.

The woman who was murdered in Minneapolis could have been my doppelganger. My age, my race, mom of 3, doing what I would have done in that situation. She's dead now and her kids are without a mom and the POTUS is calling her a terrorist and people are saying she deserved it and the rage and sadness I feel about all of it is overwhelming.

My kids' Spanish immersion daycare has parent volunteers manning the parking lots at all times on look out. The staff are asking for parent volunteers to drive them to work because they feel unsafe. They are asking to keep kids home so they can reduce staffing because they feel unsafe. One of the maintenance workers there, on a valid work permit, with no criminal history, was abducted from Home Depot last night, his wife is one of the teachers.

Driving my kids home yesterday, my 4 year old son told me he was glad the strangers didn't come and steal anyone today. Cue me trying to hold it together and explain that he is safe and he will be safe at school and his parents and his teachers will keep him safe.

The world is not okay and yet I still have to drive to work everyday. Keep it positive. Treat my patients. Pretend everything is fine.

By direct request, the spouse and I are walking over to the preschool a few blocks away from us tomorrow morning to offer to be morning watch. They're starting as early as 6:30 am and have been sitting outside, heavily armed, trying to intimidate *checks hand* 1-6 year olds.

Is she still missing? What I don't understand is why the people with visas (or even full citizenship) are either being detained as long as they are or are not coming back from what I've read.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much they do not care right now. They detain people in the morning and they can be in a different state by the afternoon. It’s very hard to get legal resources to someone whose location isn’t static. Pending asylum case, work visa, student visa, green card, naturalized citizen, doesn’t matter.

Again, surely we will be seeing the biggest civil rights lawsuit of all time at some point...although that may mean nothing to those who are here on a visa

also i just wrote a post elaborating on her whole deal but then i realized she's probably on this site so i'm gonna keep it nice and vague. she was really condescending and competitive to me about getting into school, and had that typical cattiness you can see working in clinics, but now i'm in school and she's not teehee

Youngest cancer patient I've had was 5 months with suspected lymphoma and the owners reaction definitely haunts me.

I also personally had a 3 month old puppy with oral scc while I was in school.
