Dubz pls, is there a higher honor? I think not.

Fun fact for the tie between cray and yaya. I used a modified tie mechanic i borrowed from dubz.
  • 1. Player A dies
  • 2. Player B dies
  • 3. Both tied players die
  • 4. The tie-maker dies
  • 5. No one dies
  • 6. Roll again

I rolled 6, 6, 6, 3 lol. Dina and I were both hoping for 3 though not gonna lie
And that's the story of how weagle and I managed to get two villagers misyeeted after the a Seer's reveal, including an Innocent Child.

Speaking of which, I had a ton of fun playing with you, @Yaya_Cat! Really hope to see you back!

You're going with Zenge in the pile of people I refuse to read anymore 😤

Please ignore the fact that I never actually stick to such declarations

Okay, I can finally ask.

It's the morning of D3. fluff got yeeted last night after a scramble. There was some wobbliness in the vote that makes mkg look a little bad, you think you can get a misyeet going there. You were being mostly village read, but you dropped like a rock in people's reads after fluff flipped wolf. Your partner, Weagle, has never been high in people's reads, and is on shaky ground.

Then mkg reveals she's a seer, says that Vis, one of the other sketchy villagers, and PSV are also lock-village.

What do you do? How do you navigate this?

Scream, cry, and troll.

First, I would kill the seer. After that, I kill whichever clear has most thread impact and/or most correct reads. Then, kill the other clear the next night. Beyond that, it's a dicey thread control mindgame.

At that point the PoE had been reduced to four people, of which the wolves were two.

The moment mkg died, it confirmed she was a real seer. Then there were more confirmed due to votes + seer confirmed people than wolves + NKs.

So, no. I disagree with this strategy.

Was that late vote swap planned to make mkg look bad though?

Yes, she would be confirmed, but there was never a world where mkg gets yeeted D5. Not even if she says I was the wolf. The village win plan fails if we yeet mkg before D6 (and, even then, only if she lied to the village).

If killing mkg results in a wolf loss, it's already over unfortunately.

It was not planned.

Also, my math on why killing MKG wasn't enough:

Get cray yeeted
Kill mkg
Get yaya yeeted
Kill Dubz
Get AM yeeted???
Kill alley

Leaves

genny, PSV, Vissy vs. Truenamer, Weagle

Obviously, we didn't predict that we would get two villagers misyeeted on the same night. If I had future sight, we would have killed mkg.

Option A: surrender to mechanics and openwolf until death.
Option B: one wolf starts a wagon on the other to try and buy enough village cred to last.

I guess I will say this out loud, one time, and then shut up about it:

This game was fun.

I thought it was the best scum game I've had, with maybe the small exception of my post-resurrection game in Litewwary.

So it sucks that it essentially ended on the spot on the morning of D3 because we'd failed to predict the existence of (and identity of) an alignment Seer.

Oooh, don't hinge a plan on yeeting me. I love endgame thunderdomes.

I guess I should say, I briefly considered getting Weagle to bus the hell out of me, but it seemed like a lot to ask her to try and navigate against like twenty confirmed villagers all by herself (and I don't think asking to be bussed is leagues better than just doing it yourself).

But I'm sure you see why I hate seers now.

It's just too much variance, yeah. If mkg had been the D1 misyeet or if Samac or Zenge had been the seer, the entire shape of the game would be different. Don't know if we'd have managed to win, but it wouldn't have felt pointless so quickly.

The village play is just so strong. Over half of the players in this game are borderline seers just based on skill, even if there are only a couple people they can each individually read super well. They create a network of village support that becomes extremely hard to crack.

Then to get misyeets, you have to start pushing against other people's reading cards or strong reads, and that inherently looks wolfy.

I think you'd be pleased to hear I once ran a game whose sole purpose was to dunk on the seer. The fear and doubt of everyone was mechanically satisfying.

I'm assuming you had roles like the Godfather, the villager who reads as scum, stuff like that?

This is the seer game I'm referring to if you want to go on a feels trip.

(Small warning that my TOCs always contain spoliers if you want to read the whole thread blindly.)

Seers suck
#Nerftheseer

I need to fix that game a bit before I run it again. It was a little too village-sided given the need for near perfect wolf play.
Good, then I can keep the feather in my cap as one of the winners of the hardest wolf game ever

Unfortunately, it is one of those rare situations where if you want to win you probably have to bus. There's just no way you were getting the 4 additional misyeets you still needed at that point otherwise. The group of people cleared by mkg and people cleared by interactions with fluff took away all other avenues. Village has too much time left still to work through all the paranoia options even if you presented them. And in truth killing two people in a tie is not basic and isn't something you would have normally had to rely on anyway, so then you'd have had the IC potentially to contend with as well.

Basically you were ****ed lol
