I just made an omelet with eggplant, arugula, tomatoes, cilantro, chicken, and goat cheese. yum! 😍

That's what ADD gets me. I forgot I was going to pad up to the next page.

And that just doesn't sound like anything but a bad stomachache to me. Then again, I grew up in the midwest, so all that exists is meat and potatoes and sometimes corn or green beans.

going to have to take the computer back to the shop +pity+:cry::cry::cry:

i'm on my second night of a string of nights today... 😴😴😴

i always thought the second night was harder than the first.... it's 4:15, and I ended up only sleeping for 5 hours after my shift... ukh; i'm going to go see if i can squeeze another hour or two in....

em2b, congrats on passing step 1!!!! that's fantastic news, got the hardest exam out of the way; it's a downhill ride from here 😀

i think i'm going to turn this haggard look into a new fashion statement; i'll call it the new grunge 😉 totally think it'll be the next big hit when vogue hits the stands this week

thanks and I hope so!

Hope you got more sleep!

Solution to packing: giving it away. That's what I've been doing almost all day. Should probably stop before I have nothing to move.

Starting to see why people hate doctors so much. I have now spent $50 for a doctor to tell me that the other doctors are doing a good job and I should do what they've said (which I have been doing). Oh and then tell me I am gaining weight while at the same time knows I can't work out because of all the medical problems.

/ending vent session for now

I passed Step 1 as well. Yay for all of us!

In other news: On OB, EM still #1 😉

hahahaha...althought that is in my first half of my schedule for next year. Nice to get some things out of the way. I have surgery first...maybe. Pending medical stuff.

And congrats to you too!

Is it wrong to laugh when the domestic violence lecture includes a chainsaw reference? No one died or was injured.

We're gonna need more about the chainsaw reference.

i agree..need more on chainsaw reference.

h24g - any suggestions on a place to go in philly that has decent drink specials (or really good ones)? (also open to anyone else that's familiar with any answers to this question)

Everyone seems so busy.

Slept most of today. Now paying for it. Esp since I have no tv right now (already packed away) and even if I did, there would be nothing on to watch.

I must have missed the back-story, but why are you moving? Going between apartments?

My weekend has been lazy. Finished my Path rotation with a presentation (it went well, I survived Q&A, and it generated a good discussion). Next week I finish up my orientation for clinicals.

At my school, we go all over for our 3rd and 4th years of training (we don't have a designated hospital for our students, so we kind of have to have about half the class move to different areas). My next apt will be on the east coast (2 day drive from here...hopefully I can stay awake).

Glad to hear the presentation went well. When do you start clinicals?

Goal for today: finish packing and cleaning everything so I can relax the next few days before I drive off. I probably only have about 3-4 hours of work left

it's my day off and i was going to go sit in the park and read, but then the sky opened up in anger

oh, and for those of you haven't seen the dark knight, it's awesome.... really really great... dark, dark, dark

your hair is not as big as you make it out to seem... you're a big poser

hey, I redid that picture, thank you! Just for that I'm sporting a fro tomorrow 😡

Not sure where in Philly you are, but Mad4Mex (near UPenn) has half-off margaritas (delicious!) during happy hour, that's where a lot of us used to go. old city is also supposed to be good

I was thinking Center City area because we will likely be taking the train in. That's a lot of help, though! Thanks!

Jones on 7th and chestnut is a good place

Thanks again!

One car packed, one to go. And the apt is clean with the exception of one of the bathrooms (will be last of course). It's still hard to believe I'll be allowed into a hospital in a month.

I've been meaning to bring this up.

The Dark Knight: Great movie, or greatest movie?

"I'm going to do a magic trick"
"Why so serious?"

And of course, the nurse outfit. 👍

Ah. We've also got new students in our hospital for their 3rd and 4th years from someplace in NYC called Sophie Davis. I thought the Flexner report made all schools the same (I'd never heard of the Sophie Davis system until end of 2nd year). It's interesting how other places do things.

I officially start clinicals on 8/11. I already completed my Path rotation, so I'm up one on my classmates. I'm finishing orientation this week, and then next week I'll be vacationing with family back in (I'm sorry, but it's true,) the best state in the Union: Colorado. 👍

Survived my first MICU call. I got a tube, an IJ and the only person who died had had care withdrawn and it was excpected.

wow...no posts in 4 days! Finally got internet set up again.

Good old beer-thirty.

Man, Monday brings out the best in the work-note-openia crowd.

"How long have you had these symptoms of headache, stomach pain, leg numbness, sore throat, and urinary retention? Only 9 months? Excellent"

So pregnant right? :meanie:

work work work

Still don't have the apt put together yet. Getting closer. Just need a few places to put some things. And I had to make sure they had access to the breaker box to fix a few things.

Finally made it to the grocery store. I can now have more than cereal, mac n cheese, and pb&j's. Not much more, but it's still more. By the selection I had, someone could have mistaken me for an alcoholic vegetarian (people left lots of alcohol behind one night).

Overnight wasn't bad, but a lot of penetrating trauma for a Wednesday.

And you didn't make it to the new page?

I guess I'll have to do it.
