10. Sacralectomy. The removal of rancid undigestable sacrament bread from from the large intestine. This malady is blamed for the large number of obese people in the state.

9. Auditory canal enlargement. Many church members experince shrinking of the auditory canal as it tries to protect the brain from offensive religious noise. Many patients request a canal block that is automatically activated only on sundays after this procedure.

8. Age of eight bypass. Many children are wanting this operation to keep from being baptized by their idiot parents. Children can skip the age of eight and go on to lead normal lives.

7. Repetitive Arm Motion Disorder Surgery. There are several related disorders. Constant raising of the right arm to the square and extending the arm to grasp small cups of water are the two most common problems. One disorder that is on the increase is the pain suffered in the arm and hand when a home owner extends the arm to strike a home teacher in the face at the front door.

6. Indented Forehead Syndrome. This malady is very common among X-mormons. When they realize how stupid they have been for believing the mormon church all those years they inadverdently strike their foreheads with the palm of their hand repeatedly.

5. Chlorination Poisoning Detox. Although the mormon church claims no correlation between sacrament meeting attendance and CP many are doubtful and do see a link between the two.

4. Enlarged Ego Disorder. This disorder has been around for decades and there doesn't seem to be a cure dispite the best efforts of top teams of research doctors. EED tends to crowd out the normally functioning brain cells and leaves virtually no room for critical thinking.

3. Flattened kneecap restoration. Again this disorder seems to target LDS church members, especially those that are in need of blessings from above. Some members have been known to use their knees multiple times a day and even through the night in a vain attempt to con their god out of undeserved blessing and rewards.

2. Tear duct dampness disorder. TDDD is often accomanpanied by Elevated Bosom Temperature Syndrome and seems to occur when someone is lying to themselves and others in a public meeting place. The cure includes a hard smack to the head with a 4x4 or an oak table leg.

1. Flattened wife refusal to reinflate syndrome. Common among mormon women who view themselves and are treated as doormats. These women refuse to reinflate even when given blessings by those that look at them as doormats. FWRTRS victims need only to renounce their affiliation with dinguses to begin the reinflation process.

How is it that it always seems that I get the short end of the stick on school stuff? I applied for and received an excused absence for the ACOEP conference way back in May. Then I send an email telling them I am going and it is already approved last week (because they are trying to reschedule a group thing). My name is not on the list. How is it I got missed when I was probably the first one to get all the stuff in? So frustrating 😡 :beat: +pissed+ ARRGGH!!!!!!!!!!
 
And of course, since it is Friday, they probably don't care or are already gone.
 
Good sign...they read my email one minute after I sent it. Maybe it will work out before the weekend begins...
 
Everything is fixed. Just had to stress for a little bit. Kind of surprising it worked that quickly.
 
Too much studying to make up now. Going to be a really long weekend.
 
I asked some residency director what their ultrasound training was like (and he knew I was interested in EM), and his reply was, you mean ultrasound for the OB patients. I said something about using it for other things, like gallbladder, and he was clueless. Makes me wonder sometimes...
 
Someone needs to come play. I am lonely and can't concentrate on the books.

I think he was just a residency director in general...maybe for all the programs. Don't know exactly. Just kind of shocked they were out recruiting people and didn't know what I was talking about.

I don't mind working in the ED, but I don't feel like studying, or working on my paper, or doing the SAEM tests for my rotation. :d

I've never heard of a general residency director..... A lot of people don't understand what goes on in the ED, however

Ya. Maybe he was just a recruiter. I'll have to look it up and see (I think I got one of his business cards). I'm not around it right now to check though.

and he had the audacity to tell me to hold off on the crazy....

Reminds me of the other day....there was a list of hospitals that was going to be at the hospital fair, and the person next to me asked me where I wanted to go next year. I tried to point, but my fingers were bigger than the lines, so I told her the number...of course happened to be 69. We both almost died laughing, esp since we were in the middle of a lecture and couldn't stop laughing. Then we laughed more after we realized how much we laughed over that little thing. Oh and to top it off, I will be next to the bf if I go to 69 :meanie:

all I did on surgery was work, sleep, and sometimes read and eat. 😴
