1...the only one I was qualified for...a caribbean school...I would never get into a U.S. med school with a 22 MCAT and 3.1 GPA

no, i did my basic sciences which is the first two years there...then I did 2 years of clinicals in New York. I applied to EM last year but didnt match, I graduated now and am re-entering the Match again this year

haha... uhm, I'm trying? One of the best docs I know in our ER did the same thing you have done. He amazes me with his skill and tact with patients everyday. Not to mention his compassion and ability to spot FOS patients at 100 yards. Rock on dude, Im rootin for you.

Sorry I've been MIA. At my conference right now. Having a great time, doing some good networking and all that good stuff (hopefully). Internet time is limited because I have to have someone sign on for me. I will hopefully be back soon to join you all again.

One keeps making vague promises and the other one doesn't respond to my emails. Had the dean prod them and one emailed him back seeming irritated, so maybe that letter will suck now. 🙁

Ummm...only 20 out of greater than 100 programs are respresented on that list of invites. I would say it's still a little early to worry.

Just so you guys know...I didn't get my first interview until Oct 3, and I was probably missing one letter at that time (I didn't submit until sept 23, or something like that). I had applied to 32 programs and ended up with interviews at like 22 or so...they will pour in, I promise. Keep your heads up.
