Does anyone else feel like they are in this free fall that will never end? I don't know if that makes sense..but, anyone?

Hi guys.. thx for posting up the stats.. and good luck everyone today.. I think it goes without saying that if any of you hear something you will post!! I am hoping to hear good news for all of us!!.. I think we have all taken way too many dissappointments!!

Either way good luck today.. I dont think I will call RFU I dont want to bother them but if any of you ends up calling feel free to post an update..

I just called RFU. The lady that I talked to said they'll be sending out emails in a couple of days from now. I guess no good news for me. 🙁

I didnt realize that the office is even open this early 🙂. I love that this thread is so active. I need you guys to get in so the official class thread can be just as active. Meanwhile I am crossing my fingers for you guys.
 
I called the Admin office too. Some day soon I will have an email update as well.

Heston; i have good news for you. From everything that I've heard that means that you're in! :hardy:

Look up the thread wtf uic. and in it when u keep reading on, somewhere in the middle of the thread around page 6 many people will tell you that when your status changes like that you get an acceptance packet in the mail! I mean obviously its not for sure; but that is what the trend is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(i just checked my status and it has no change; my chances are slim to none)

An email. Thats not my style; I have a feeling the email will just be quite vague and won't tell you ****.

"Dear applicant we have narrowed you down into a select pool of applicants whom will still be considered for acceptance. This does not necessarily ensure accpetance into our program. Thank you for your continued interest in CMS as we do not give a f* about you."

Can't wait to check my inbox.

That was the case before May since they didn't reject anyone before that time. At this point in the cycle though it could very well go either way.

DrV i know what you're saying. the only one last piece of the puzzle is a rejection from RFU. and then its time to sail off into the dark abyss of a black hole for a month.
as soon as i wake up in the morning i check my email and uic status page (which didn't change indicating 99.9% i wont be going there). every night you go to sleep worrying about this, and when you wake up at night the first thought on your mind is med school. you know that theres nothing you can do about it, you're at their mercy. but still; there is something inside of you that just makes you think about it day after day, time and time again.

True that but I interviewed there as well and my status did NOT change. So that is good news for Heston; bad for me... most probably.
 
Well sorry to be so negative people. I really really hope that at LEAST a few people on this thread will get some acceptances within the next few days. I'm really pulling for this. I mean come on; this is by far the most active thread on all of sdn!!!

So anyone have any good news yet? Remember even if the date they met was the 21st they may have not post marked the letter till 2-3 days later. My letter was dated May 8th, but was post marked the 10th. SInce it was a long weekend it may have even pulled the post mark date even later.

The mail guy came but didn't bring anything from RFU.
 
I just called Rosalind and I got that message, "Please press 1...." etc. I pressed 4 to check on the "status of my application" and I got this weird busy signal.

COME ONNNNNNNN!!
 
I was just thinking. For those of you who got the response, "you will hear something from us by email", I am pretty confident that means waitlist. They wouldn't send out acceptances or rejections through email. Which means, if I don't get that email, I'm gonna be in the acceptance/rejection list, but seeing as I haven't received anything yet (mail has still to come today, though), I'm thinking I'm gonna be on the WL.

Yay! Excuse my sarcasm....

P.S. God I hope this isn't a mistake....I called to double check but they haven't called back yet. 😱

Yes. I called to check my status like two weeks ago. They took my name and said someone would get back to me. The next day they sent me an email that said I'd hear something within two weeks. Then a week later I received an email saying I would hear something real soon (I thought this was kinda random and weird). Less than a week after receiving that email I got a small envelope via snail mail offering me a seat (that was today). The letter was dated 5/21/07. 😳

I was out all day toady. I got the following beautiful email from RFU at 3.30pm

"As of today, there hasn't been any action taken on your file in terms of an acceptance or rejection. Your file has been placed on a non-ranked waitlist. If you are accepted between now and orientation (August 8th), you will receive a phone call and an acceptance letter from the admissions office. Please let us know if you have any further questions."

so I guess I won't be holding my breath any longer. CCOM here i come!!!
 
Why am I the only biz-notch who got that email? Grrrrr. I'm starting to develop some true animosity here.

Hey man, Im not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing? At least you know you are on the WL..

I wonder if that means if we DID NOT get an email we are rejected...
