Congrats. I hope the rest of us hear something soon. I wonder if you selected Utah campus as the reason why you got a response so soon after the interviews.

I know that the Nevada campus tends to fill up faster than the Utah campus, so maybe it played a role. I know of numerous people who interviewed when I did or earlier and I think all of them want the Utah campus and no one else has heard back that I know of.

I'm sure the dean probably stated the same thing at the other interviews that most people won't hear back until they knock more interview dates out. I'm just glad I don't have to stress about it anymore haha. Good luck all!

WasatchRx,
If you go to SLCC, you probably know me :)

Don't fret if you have not been accepted yet. From what I understand there's a point system in place and you are either accepted right after your interview (because you had enough points) or you'll have to wait until April for the rest of the interviews to be conducted. I'm not aware of anybody receiving acceptance letters in-between, but I could be wrong.

Do we have to send an updated transcript of our grades from Fall 2012 to the school? I have already updated the grades in PharmCAS in January and I sent one to Roseman just in case. I remember it being on the application.

Based on the system as I understand it, you can be accepted after your interview, after every subsequent interview, or whenever somebody gives up their spot.

I believe it's only necessary if you need to show that you satisfied a prereq in Fall 2012. Otherwise, it might help slightly if it bumps up your GPA a bit.

You may be right, I am only speculating. It was my understanding that there is a point threshold that, once met (post-interview), grants the applicant admission. Are you saying the threshold changes throughout the interview period?

I don't think it's primarily based on a changing point threshold. It's a changing # of seats, so at those times, it's whoever has the most points gets first call.

The way that I understood it is that if your point total exceeds a certain amount aka "a sure thing," then they will invite, based off of the previous year's accepted point totals. As they proceed through the interview dates they're able to tell what an acceptance point total will be and then start sending out more invites as this becomes more clear. The points needed to be accepted will of course always be changing based off of each interview session and how the people fared.

The way I understood it is that you send in the fall transcript to PharmCAS. When Dr. DeYoung called me the other day he verified that I was taking my last two prerequisites this semester and said that instead of sending my transcript to PharmCAS I would send it directly to the school, so they could quickly verify that I was eligible. If you've finished all of your prerequisites then I'm not sure if they will have you send it to them or not. I'm sure he will let you know over the phone what to do.

I interviewed Jan 24th at the Utah campus, and still haven't heard anything. Kind of disappointing since I have to put a deposit down for an out of state school by Friday. *sigh*

Just wondering if anyone that interviewed from the Feb. 12th date at the Henderson site has heard back yet. I've heard of people getting calls the day after. Really hoping to hear back from them soon since I'd rather not put in a deposit for another school.

I am kind of wondering the same thing as far as when you were called. I interviewed that same day in Henderson.

They called me Wednesday night.

Don't know what the point system is exactly based off of but,
B.S. Degree
Pcat: Composite 70 (scored low in reading)
Overall GPA 3.2 (Post Bachelors degree GPA 3.6 in the majority of my core pre-req's)

Hope that helps.
Be patient and best of luck to you all.

I have very similar stats as you. Still no call. I blew it on the interview * kicking rocks*.

I have an interview on 2/26 at the Henderson Campus. I know I'm a little late but can't wait! Anybody else interviewing that same day? Also, people that have gone, what should I expect?

I interviewed at the Utah campus, but I'm sure it's set up the same way. I'm not sure if the start times are the same, but we started at 2:00 pm. They had us meet in the cafeteria and explained how the day would go and then gave us some basic information on the school and let us know what time we would be interviewing.

We then headed to what was the P2 room and had an hour orientation where they went over the papers that were given prior and briefly explained a little about the school. Once finished, the people with the 3:00 pm interview times were escorted to the designated rooms. If your interview was at 3:30 pm then they had you stay in the cafeteria and wait. If your interview was at 4:00 pm or later, they allowed students to give you a tour and allowed you to ask them questions. The people with the 3:00 and 3:30 pm interviews took the tour afterwards.

The interviews were roughly 20-30 minutes long. You interview with one professor and one student. They ask about 5 questions and then if there's extra time you can ask them questions. They're very friendly and laid back and try to make you as comfortable as can be. Some of the questions asked are based around leadership, teamwork, yourself and why you want to be a pharmacist.

Once through with orientation, interview and the tour you're free to leave. :poke:

Really starting to sweat it. Have not heard a peep.

Emailed the admissions dept yesterday, letting them know of my situation and asking when I might hear something back about my status. They have not replied.

Interviewed on 1/29, and haven't heard anything yet either.

I interviewed 2/12 and have not heard anything. The Dean was unable to attend our interview session due to being on leave (vacation? conference? I forget), so perhaps that has something to do with the delay. It's hard to stay patient. Let us know if they reply.

Be patient guys!!! Don't lose sleep!!! We all were in your shoes during the first interview days!! Just keep your phone off of vibrate!! We Dr. DeYoung starts calling, it's glorious!!!!! Be patient!! You could be off by half a point and will get in just not early!!! Have faith!!!

Got a phone call today - accepted to Henderson! YAY! Waiting for the email to have it "in writing". :)

Thank you TM :) I know you are probably still waiting to hear and I hope you do very soon. How are things going with KU?

I think the email I sent prompted him to call me, yes. I am glad it turned out positive. I just needed an answer soon and I was prepared for good or bad.

KU is definitely lagging and I just put my deposit down for CSU in Chicago. If I get accepted to Roseman, I would be really excited. Rather move to Vegas than Chicago (if I have to).

Yeah, Chicago is cool but I like the weather in Vegas better :) Besides, 3 year school is a great option for us with kiddos I think. Plus, Henderson is a great suburb with good schools and low crime rate.

I agree!!!

Just got the email confirming my admissions offer! YAY!! :soexcited:

Roseman COP class of 2016!

Will someone let me know if/when we have a FB page?

I also interviewed on 1/29, just got the acceptance call two days ago. Apparently a 3 or 4 week wait is pretty common with this school.

Congrats! What day did you interview? Anyone from the 2/12 interview heard anything yet? :)

Not me and not that I've seen. The next interview is 2/26 so there may be more seats opening then and hopefully it includes some of us 2/12 peeps

Do you guys know where I can get rose man sweaters

I just got me acceptance call from Dr DeYoung! I am actually at work so it was a vm but I'm in baby!!!! Very excited-I interviewed on 2/12!! :)
