I applied for the Fall 2025 cohort in early July, interviewed early August, and was accepted in mid August. I’m guessing the timeline isn’t the same for everyone but just wanted to post in case this helps anyone in the future!

So my portal updated to show a request for my resume and unofficial transcripts. My official transcripts all were verified through VMCA so seemed extra. Anyone else see this in their portal?

Yeah I was wondering about it too when I saw that post on Wednesday because I was already accepted but didn’t know anything about a portal haha. Then I got an email yesterday saying to log in to pay my seat deposit, which was the first I’d heard of the portal in any communications from Ross. But yeah it’s the My Ross Vet page on their website. I think if you’ve already applied there will already be an account associated with your VMCAS email, because when I tried to register for it yesterday it said I already had an account and I had to get a password reset link sent to my VMCAS email.
 
This is my first time applying to Ross and I don't seem to have any login for the My Ross Vet portal. For those of you who have accounts from last year, did you have to wait for your VMCAS to be verified before you could log in to the portal?
 
For those who applied through VMCAS, have you seen a status change in your portal yet or received any emails? Last year I didn't receive anything until end of January (ouch!) so I'm curious to see how things are going on others' ends c:
 
I got a message to set up my portal. Which I did and it said it wanted a résumé which I uploaded. Then no activity. Then today I got an email that something was updated in my portal, but I couldn’t find anything that was
 
Getting super frustrated with Ross! Say they received my VMCA but then on the 18th asked for a resume and unofficial transcript. I uploaded both and nothing. Just sitting in doc center and nothing updated. I wrote Thursday and asked what is left to submit and no response. Then today I get an email “you haven’t submitted what we asked for so are you still interested”. I was like YES I submitted but you haven’t checked it or updated. Not sure what else I can do cause they don’t seem to respond to emails!

I’ve been having similar issues!! I submitted my app early and then got an email telling me that VMCAS was closing in 2 weeks and I hadn’t submitted my app yet. I quickly emailed to ask if anything was missing and then suddenly got sent a form to sign. Afterwards, an advisor told me everything had been set without explanation. I never got a log in for a portal but figured out to access it based off what people told me here. It says my application is still being processed and is not under review yet, but I know people who turned their apps in after mine who got offered interviews already. So I’m getting frustrated and concerned that their disorganization is affecting my place in line.

Last year I had not heard anything from Ross until January, which is absolutely insane. No confirmation they received my application, nothing. In March they reached out asking for a missing grade, and I explained I would not have enough time to complete it and would like to withdraw my application. They emailed me two separate times AFTER that asking for my grade and I was like "uhh I withdrew my app."
 
I’ve also just gotten an email saying my application wasn’t submitted even though VMCAS shows that it was. No other schools I’m applying to seem to be having this problem, so I wonder what’s going on with them. I guess I’ll have to call them later today and see if we can get it sorted out.

I just emailed and they were like yeah, you did everything right! We have it! But then mysteriously got all of the confirmation emails right before that.
 
I just got an email asking me if I wanted to expedite my application by moving my start date to the January or May cohorts. Did anyone else get this email?

I wonder if there is a push by their parent company Adtalem Global to get enrollment up since it has been down the past 2 fiscal years at the medical & veterinary schools. Enrollment declined by 8.2% in fiscal year 2023 and declined 2.9% in fiscal year 2024. Adtalem Global is going to release first quarter results for fiscal year 2025 on October 29th. It will be interesting to see results for the medical & veterinary schools.

That’s very interesting, I did not know that. Any speculation as to why enrollment would be down?

Alot of people are not happy with the NAVLE scores and some people view the multiple cohorts as predatory. In addition, class sizes. Alot of people will apply to the island schools as a back-up incase they dont get into state side schools, and so out of the thousands of people that apply, I would wanna guess that like 80% of them get in state side and choose to stay, so they're struggling to fill those seats.

You are right students aren’t happy with the low NAVLE pass rate. Another reason Ross is seen as predatory is the high attrition rate in the DVM program and high fail rate for the vet prep program. For example, I recently talked to a former DVM student that has transferred out and they had 50 students dismissed from their semester during their one year there. Another example, the vet prep program had 30 students out of 88 students move on to the DVM program. So this information is getting out to potential students and they are deciding not to attend Ross because of the high possibility of getting dismissed from Ross and leaving with a huge debt and no DVM. Where did you see the 80% figure and the information to support it?

I agree! Sorry the 80% thing was more so based on observations from past threads here, no actual statistic. That was poor explanation on my part!

No worries. I just wanted to make sure I didn’t overlook something. Multiple cohorts are okay but 3 cohorts may be too much since the NAVLE doesn’t support Ross’ 3 graduation cycles per the previous Dean. The Dean was going to work on it. I wonder what will happen since that Dean is no longer there.
 
I finally got some kind of update. I got an email from Ross today saying they received my VMCAS application, followed by another asking me to use DocuSign to agree to their technical requirements. I submitted VMCAS almost a full month ago, for anyone’s reference. I’m just glad for the confirmation that they actually do have my application!

I sent in my application on 9/6/24 and they got back to me for the interview on 9/19/24 and it was scheduled for 10/1/24

yes through VMCAS i applied but they emailed me for the interview and then I saw that there was a decision made on the portal and I emailed them to see what it was and then I got an email saying "decision letter"

I submitted vmcas on 9/5 I haven’t heard anything back besides the docusign a few weeks ago
 
I applied last year to Ross and never heard anything until MARCH and they invited me to interview after the fall class was already full (what I had applied for)(I also got the email to interview 2 days after I emailed asking to withdraw my application because I hadn’t heard anything from them) and just gave me an acceptance for the next January. I ended up declining after bc of just how unorganized they seemed. Never answered my emails, claimed I hadn’t taken classes even tho I supplied my transcripts to 4 separate people outside of also putting them in VMCAS. Just overall frustrating. I hope nobody has this experience this time around
 
I applied 08/31 and havent heard anything except the docusign. I applied last year too and didn’t hear anything until January 2025. I kinda wish I didn’t re-apply and waste my money, because it just seems to be getting worse and worse each year.
 
I don't think emailing them and asking for some clarification would hurt. I totally get how frustrating it is. I'm sorry

Okay-- so I went to schedule my interview and it says there are no available dates...like at all...??
 
Ive been checking my status in the portal and my application literally disappeared. Up until yesterday my application said in review, and now its gone. It doesn't even show my advisor. Has this happened to anyone? I havent heard anything from admissions

Same! Received nothing but now my portal
Is just like a regular marketing page…no info about app
