MCAT score(s): 513- C/P: 128 CARS: 130 B/B: 126 and P/S: 129 (Worried my B/B is too low for some schools)
State of residence: Tennessee
Ethnicity and/or race: Caucasian
Undergraduate institution or category:
Majored in Neuroscience
Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer)
4 years of weekly volunteering at a group home for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (1 year of serving as the volunteer site leader here)
2 summers of working as the healthcare manager at an overnight summer camp
Research experience:
one year of lab experience as a research assistant in a suicide prevention lab; one lab poster presentation
Shadowing experience and specialties
120 hours of shadowing
Non-clinical volunteering
1 year of weekly tutoring at local elementary school
4 years of monthly volunteering with Habitat for Humanity (and leading 3 service spring break trips); 2 years on the EBoard and 1 year as president of this 900 member service organization at my college
Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc)
Gap Year: currently doing a year of service with Americorps at a homeless shelter; this upcoming summer- teaching STEM classes
2 years of working as a freshman peer mentor/ counselor in college (kinda like service, but was a 25+ hour a week job)

I have pretty severe dyslexia and have been advised by some to not disclose this if it comes up in a secondary or interview. Any thoughts?
Also here is my running list so far... would love more school suggestions (hoping to apply to 20+ schools)and recommendations if I should take any schools off. Would be interested in DO, but mostly have done research on MD schools so far... also would love thoughts on my chances of getting into these places! I am interested in schools that emphasize community service/ engagement and social justice. Not super big into research or schools that have a large emphasis on research. Thank you so much for any insight!
