I'm a NY resident. I went to a university in NYC.
Consider applying to all of these MD schools:
All 4 SUNY's
CUNY (new school)
Quinnipiac
Hofstra
Einstein
New York Medical College
Albany
Seton Hall (if it opens for 2017)
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
GW
Georgetown
For DO schools try NYIT-COM, Touro, PCOM, LECOM.

I recommend the following:

Temple
Jefferson
Drexel
Quinnipiac
WVU
Rosy Franklin
MCW
SLU
Creighton
Loma Linda (but read their list of don'ts)
Albany
NYMC
VCU
U VM
EVMS
Oakland-B
Western MI
Rush (note: very service/experience oriented with a 150hr service requirement. Avg student has 800 hours of community service, and >1800 hours of health care exposure.)
CUNY Med
Netter
All SUNYs
Any DO school, starting with PCOM, NYITCOM and Touro-NY

Thank you! Questions... How risky is it applying to these schools since my first MCAT is a very poor score?
