Well Science GPA is made up of prereq classes and if you have a bunch of Cs in your prereq courses, then I would say the schools would look at that negatively. The overall GPA can be fluffed up by cake courses and such but the prereq/science GPA is where they can compare students readiness to handle Pharmacy School classes. To sum it up, Pharmacy school prereqs are almost all sciences so obviously they find a strong aptitude for the material to be important for admission.

thanks for the info, i'd like to add on by asking about the math GPA
my math GPA is 2.00, although my science GPA is 3.47 (but my overall is 3.08)

how much do they pay attention to the math gpa in comparison to the science?

I really am not sure, at my school the counselor will tell you that it is in your BEST interest to have no Cs in prereq courses and minimal amount on the rest of your application but I can only say that in the case of my school.

The best bet is to call the admission counselors of the schools you are interested in and ask them, they are not hiding anything, they will tell you what they think about it and give you some advice. Never hurts to call.

Everyone has different opinions on the subject but when it comes to the prereq courses, I say NO Cs! You can do something about it, go back and get an A/B. Plus a C usually means you did not master the material to the point where you can readily apply it to courses that build on that material.
