Is anyone else on here addicted to NBC's Scrubs? That show is sooo friggin hilarious! Last night was so funny I was laughing outloud. My favorite character is probably Dr. Cox. Anyone else care to comment? Also, does anyone have any good quotes from the show? I tend to forget them... too much physiology to remember I guess.

Love that show...it's one of the few shows I make a point to watch every week.
There are lots of good Scrubs websites out there with quotes. Try www.scrubs-tv.com, which has a very dedicated forum with lots of info. http://scrubs.mopnt.com has transcripts of almost every episode, too.

Maybe anyone who watched last night's episode could help me with a question. Dr. Cox used a medical slang term when talking to JD, and JD wasn't sure what the word meant. Of course, I am totally blanking on what the word was, but I think it started with an "S". Does anyone remember the word and know what it refers to?

"It's Beardface." (Accent over the e of beardface)

or how about when they were practicing their slow motion walks, "Now that's slow"

I love Scrubs too! I used to dislike the show, but then one day I started LOVING it - hilarious. Can't think of any quotes right now, though two weeks ago Dr. Cox said some hilarious quotes about 'moments'. 👍

I believe he asked if the patient had been swaned? I'm only a 1st year so I'm far from certain, but I believe he may have been refering to a Swan-Ganz catheter, which is inserted around the shoulder into the axillary vein to the superior vena cava into the right side of the heart through the atrium and ventricle and into the pulmonary artery.

I think one of my favorite lines from Dr. Cox came in the middle of one of his extended rantings to JD, it was a list of things he was absolutely sure of. It was something like "If you took all the porn off the internet, there would only be one site left and it would be called 'Bring back the Porn'"

I think it was the episode with Matthew Perry. This guy needed a kidney transplant but one wasn't available, so JD did some digging to find out that he had a son that he didn't mention for some reason. Dr. Cox told JD to not get involved, but he did anyway, and JD brought the son over and when they were about to have a touching reunion moment, Perry says that he'll sell his father a kidney for $75,000. Dr. Cox and JD are watching outside the room and Dr. Cox says "I love this moment so much right now I could just have sex with it right now". Then later in the show, they convince him to do the transplant, but they soon learn that Perry isn't actually the guy's son even though they do have the same blood type, and when Perry learns about it, he storms off and Dr. Cox goes "I would leave that last moment to come over to this moment, marry it, and have a whole family of little moments." Another funny joke in that episode was Perry's name was Murry, and that was one of the reasons he hated his father, because it was an old man's name. JD disagreed so Murry goes down a random hallway and yells "Hey Murry" and all the doors open up and a bunch of old guys look into the hallway and go "What?". It was funny cause everytime someone yelled after Murry, some old guy would pop up and go "What?"

That's it! Thanks for refreshing my memory! That show is soooo funny.

where's the best place or program to use download old episodes?

I pretty much love anything that "The Todd" says- In one of the last episodes there was an older woman that was getting a boob job everyone wondered why because she was so old, except the Todd-
"Hey, Mrs. K. Let's get you into a fresh pair of blouse bunnies."

Todd: I'd like to double her entendre!

You guys might be interested to know that WAYYY back in 2001, when scrubs was still in development, one of the shows writers posted on SDN asking for funny medical stories they could work into the show. They offered an autographed picture of the cast in return. The guy identified the name of the show, outlined the basic plot, and was then laughed out of town by skeptical posters.... Turn out this guy wasn't full of it.

Enjoy the trivia.

I still don't know why this show isn't being released on DVD.

Seriously, I'd buy every season they'd put out!

I remember reading that it has to do with some political issues, Zach Braff said that the show is produced by ABC studios or something affiliated with ABC, who turned it down. Then NBC picked it up (someone was having a good day there!) and now it's like a tug-of-war or something like that. Also, it's up for syndication (which I still don't understand, what does that mean?) and that has something to do with it also. But there are multiple lists of people around the internet trying to "lobby" NBC to get the DVDs out fast. Zach Braff said (I remember reading him saying it... 😕 ) that Season 1 should be out early next year (2005) with Season 2 following in Spring...I think...

In case you haven't noticed, I love the show and have been excitedly and greedily scouring KazaaLite for episodes, of which I have around 20 or so. So that's one resource that can be somewhat useful for older episodes. Also, there are some guys on Ebay who sell DVDs of recorded episodes. I'm considering trying that, but it's 40 pounds for the 9 DVDs of Seasons 1-3. I'll let you know if I decide to spend the dough.

I'd have to agree, Dr. Cox is the greatest character, period...no I'm not talking just Scrubs...I mean period, ever. :meanie:
And Zach Braff is amazing as JD, not to mention in Garden State, which led to me watching Scrubs.

Plus Sarah Chalke is smoking hot! 😍
Anyways, I'm gonna rewatch some of episode 210 since there's a great make-out scene with Elliot... 👍 ... and some guy (JD), but I can just pretend it's me... 😀

Yeah, but Tare Reid is even hotter!! 😍 Remember that episode where JD talked about their "home video" and you're thinking oh my goodness. Then it turns out the video was about them trying to stage a hit in the sack by a golf club

Everyone I talk to says they would buy the DVD in a heart-beat. I am furious they won't release it. Since when do they not want money?

One of my favorite scenes is in season one where Turk and his attending Dr. Wen are arguing in the operating room, and Dr. Wen says something like "I've been doing this for 10 years, I think I should know. Nurse, put on erasure!"

For older episodes, Kazaa-Lite or one of the various other P2P programs are the best to use. For recent episodes, I goto :

http://www.tvtorrents.net/

or supernova.org

The first website usually posts the latest episode hours after it comes on tv so it is vary handy if you can't watch it on tv. That's what I do now, since I usually don't have time to watch the show during the week.

If you need a crash course on how to use bit torrent, just PM me.

Vomitonme has a typo-- you actually want to go to:
suprnova.org

if you have to register for supnova, it's a scam! The real Suprnova's free.
