Wow, no. A bunch of us got calls asking if we wanted to be placed in the January batch instead, but nobody was forced to. Good luck getting it straightened out!
 
Oh yeah, mine too. Forgot to post that update. Curious if anyone who has already interviewed has gotten accepted? I know they do rolling admission so I'm just wondering how long it would take them to decide? ITS SO REAL GUYS!

I think I found out after about 3 weeks to a month when I applied
 
Hey guys does anyone know if the interview essay questions are still the same ? - 1) person who influenced you 2) 3 qualities that will make you a good vet 3) life-changing experience ??
 
I finally submitted my supplemental on the 28th, got the email that my file is complete the next day, but I'm still waiting to hear back about an interview invite. :nailbiting: I know the email said "typically this decision process can take up to two weeks," but it sounds like several people on here got interview invites almost immediately after submitting their supplemental. I'm guessing there was a bit of a rush of submissions in the last few days, though, with everyone else that procrastinated like me. 😀

When I interviewed last year those were the interview questions I was provided with

Hey there LyraGardenia,

I submitted my supplemental app October 29th, got my email that the app was being reviewed October 30th and got an email saying that I received an interview today. Best of luck! Hope you hear back soon 🙂

CONGRATULATIONS!! That's so exciting!! It must be so nice to have an acceptance so early on, just to put your mind at ease that you're going SOMEwhere.

Woooo! Got my acceptance from SGU :smug: Still waiting to hear from other schools before making a decision, but I'm SO excited! It took exactly 4 weeks for my decision to be made after my interview.
 
@katashark did you get an email today? I got all worked up but it was just to tell me my interview summary was submitted and the admissions committee would be meeting and give me a decision in 4-6 weeks.

Yes, I got that same email. I got all worked up because the subject line was SGU/Final Determination. lol.

I know, right?! But it said they might take another 4-6 weeks. I hope that's not the case. My interviewer told me she sent in my summary the next day, so I don't know why it took them 2 weeks to tell me they received it. Oh well... we wait some more.

When I interviewed, I received an email saying they had my summary and it was under review 2 days after the actual interview. Then, from that day, it took almost exactly a month to hear back about a decision for me. I actually emailed that day asking if she had heard and that's when she told me she had received my status info...So I guess you just have to be a little persistent. She said don't hesitate to ask about the status of your decision, so don't!!

Just so you guys know a little timeline 😉

Ugh frustrating that our email was delayed almost 2 weeks. I wonder if there was a bigger group of interviewees for this block. Oh well, I'll try to be patient. I was really hoping to have good news to share on thanksgiving. It says they're going to meet within the week, so I guess it's still possible we'll hear sooner...

What I got from the email is that the committee is meeting this week, so we are hearing soon because it goes on to say that it is 4-6 weeks depending on committee availability. So, if the committee meets this week, I'm gonna assume that we will hear sooner than that! Either way, I hope we get in! 🙂 Let me know when you find out!!

You asked that day if she had gotten your interview summary or you asked that day if she has heard of a status update and then you got your acceptance email?

I asked for a status update and she replied that day saying "I actually just got your decision back today," and then told me! So be persistent and ask if you're anxious!
 
Hey everyone! I'm new to SDN and this is actually my first post, but I've been on here plenty of times to ease my mind about the application process which is driving me CRAZY. The waiting game is insane. Just wanted to say that I also just got that "final determination" email today and it just about gave me a heart attack reading it thinking it was an acceptance/rejection letter. Just wanted to wish everyone luck and hopefully we all hear some good news soon!!

I interviewed last Friday on November 6th. I wish I could just forget about it and wait patiently but at this point I'm just re-running my interview over and over in my head and getting way anxious waiting!
 
To all of those who received that email, I followed up with Krista to figure out whether or not there was a delay for @katashark and me or why we received the email so late. She told me that they will have a decision for me within a week and a half, so I assume that applies to all of us!! :claps: As a downside, they had marked that I was interested in January admission, which I am not. I asked a few follow up questions about it, but it would not be possible for me to start so I absolutely didn't say I was interested in it. So I don't know if that's why they said they would have an answer for me sooner, but you all might want to follow up and make sure that you didn't accidentally get this notation as well. But here's to hoping the decision will still be in the next week and a half!
 
Just kidding... she emailed me back. For August review it's still 4-6 weeks. 😢
 
1.5 weeks was for the January admission that I was, for some unknown reason, being reviewed for.
 
I finally got my interviewer's contact info! My interviewer is from New Jersey and I'm in Canada so the interview is going to be through Skype for me as well. How does the essay portion work with Skype?

Some interviewees have just had 20 minutes or so after the interview to email the interviewer the answer to the prompt. I did not have to do the essay portion at all.
 
I just emailed Krista to see if she has any updates for me about an interview invite. It's been three weeks now since I submitted my supplemental, so I'm starting to get a little worried.

Did it actually take 4-6 weeks after you got that "final decision" email?? I got mine less than a week ago, but I'm just really hoping they'll magically have an answer for me before next week is over.
 
I am considering applying within the next few weeks for the fall 2016 semester. Do you think not applying through vmcas and applying later than others will have a negative impact? Should I wait until the next vmcas cycle instead?
