Hi there, I am in a sticky situation. I cannot decide whether or not to apply this cycle or wait and retake the MCAT. I have a low MCAT score but a very good GPA and incredible experience. I hear that it is good for medical schools to see your name, but I can't decide if it is the worth money. What is yall's thoughts?

We may just associate your name with a weak application (not good).

Zero chance with that MCAT. Do not apply and retake with like a 510+ (at least) if you want MD.
I don’t even expect an interview but is it beneficial for schools to at least see my name and then when they see my name when I re apply next cycle?

No. Being a reapplicant isnt a good thing and a serious lack of judgement will be called into question if you apply with a 492.
