Hi All,

I am in the beginning stages of applying to MHA programs and have some basic questions regarding the SOPHAS and HAMPCAS tools. I have seen students using one or the other or a combination of both. Is one preferred over the other? Do some schools use only one while other schools only accept the other? If it is possible to avoid using both, that would be ideal.

I appreciate any input from those more seasoned than myself. Thanks!

Some schools only use one, some use both, really depends on the school. I doubt the schools that use both have a preference, they are almost the exact same interface/application portal. But HAMPCAS is slightly cheaper if you plan on applying to a decent # of schools.

Also on a side note, I found HAMPCAS to be significantly faster at verifying my material than SOPHAS has been.
