I enjoyed my Skype interview, it was nice to be in the comfort of my room haha very laid back
 
Still haven't heard back from SGU, ugh. 2 weeks already :/
 
Same here...Was hoping to know before Thanksgiving...Will be three weeks on Friday. Wonder if their office will be open Friday?

I hope so, I don't want to submit a deposit to Ross (deadline dec 4th) if I get into SGU... :/
 
I think we may know before then. Seems like it takes 3 weeks on the marker...I thought Ross also had to comply with the April 15 deadline? Unless you got in for an earlier class?

Nope, Ross requires half of the deposit 2 weeks after admission notification, I'm pretty sure the SGU deposit is required the same way, maybe 3 weeks. :/
 
Well that's not complying with the AVMA...What about if people are waiting to hear from other schools?
 
"All U.S. veterinary schools (except Tuskegee University) have agreed to not require applicant decisions and/or deposits until April 15. This applies to students' acceptance of admissions offers, financial aid offers, and scholarships. " It doesn't apply to foreign schools, unfortunately.

Most people appear to have gotten their decision within three weeks and now toss in the holiday. Plus how long it took the interviewer to submit their report.
 
I'm fairly certain my interviewer was filling out the report as she was interviewing me, haha.

I would think they'd be closed on Thanksgiving since most of their offices are in the US. Unfortunately we don't really get to celebrate it here 🙁 But our chapter of SCAVMA puts on a giant Thanksgiving potluck for us and we had it last week 🙂 It was nice
 
I received notification of acceptance about 3 weeks after my interview. I've known I've been accepted since mid november for fall 2015.
 
i dont even know if they do this anymore, but is the deposit deadline different if you don't apply through vmcas? april 15th only applied to vmcas participating schools when i applied forever ago (sgu and ross both had separate apps at that time)

No idea, I applied through VMCAS :/
 
Congrats! I'm getting so impatient. Trying to keep in mind it also probably matters when the interviewer sent in their materials....

Ugh knowing my interviewer.... well I'm guessing I'll find out in January lol.
 
How does writing the essay work for a Skype interview? My email said it would be at the beginning of the interview.
 
I had my Skype interview on Nov 21 for the August 2015 class, hoping for good news!

Another poster mentioned that you received the prompt and then had to write the essay over email.
 
My essay was at the end of the interview. After we hung up she gave me 20 minutes to write the essay and have it emailed to her
 
I received it via email this afternoon! And congrats @Meurks! We're going to be doctors and possibly future classmates!

Yes! Congrats! It looks like we applied to a few of the same schools so there's a good chance of that 🙂 🙂 our waiting paid off hahaha.
 
Thanks @Meurks and @ShannaC. My interviewer emailed me and said mine would also take place after the interview and I would have to email it.

Do you know if we have to send Fall 2014 transcript to VMCAS or directly to SGU? 🙁
I don't know how things work...

And were you granted the scholarship with your acceptance letter? (hope you don't mind me asking!)

If I remember correctly you can just send them to VMCAS and VMCAS will distribute them to the schools. Also you usually don't hear about receiving scholarships until about a month-ish before school starts.

I just got an email on Friday about receiving the Legacy of Excellence Scholarship so ~2 weeks after my acceptance
