Sullivan University Anyone?

does anyone know how many seats they have given out?🙂 or how the alternative list works?
 
No one knows how many seats have been taken yet, nor how many they are taking. I think awhile back someone said 95-100, but don't quote me on that.


I just had my parents check, and I haven't gotten it yet. That's so weird. I would think that a letter going from KY to IN wouldn't take that long, and yet it's been 8 days since it was sent.....

I cant speak for how many seats that have been given out but I can explain the alternate list a little bit. Basically when SUCOP places candidates on the alternate list they offer you an option to be "considered for automatic acceptance into the next years class" so you guys are not only competing against the accepted students from this years app. cycle but the alterantes from last year. There is a bright side to this, when people get into their top choice school after being accepted somehwere else... they usually decline the acceptence from all other schools which in return free's up more seats (happens quite often). Also keep in mind your application could be stronger that last years alternate list. So there are many variables to the equation...so just keep your head up and communicate with the office every now and then to let them know you are interested you are in the program. The only thing that matters is that you get credit for the class. I still say you can learn the material in any environment. The classes may or may not be as difficult, I think that all depends on the professor. I just don't think you can make a blanket statement like that and apply it to every CC across the country.

just do a research about it:laugh: and yes GPA does transfer from Univ to Univ..... also you probably wondered y there are no upper division classes(class code begins with a 300-400..for example Bio 300, Bio 302 etc) at CC :laugh:. At CC the classes can only go to 299. That is the limit...........

Wait I thought if you didnt get pull from the alternative list then you have to reapply and go through the interview process again? there was one previous post that said something about being on the alternative list and not being offer acceptance this year.....

Research it, are you kidding me? That is way to much effort to go into something that I really don't care that much about. 👎

Honestly, I have never set foot on a community college campus, much less look for their class schedules and transfer policies.

I still say that any professor can make a class as easy or difficult as they want to and that you can learn anywhere. It all depends on how you apply yourself.

Yea it is a really weird process thats why I said "considered" for automatic acception. What this does is it waives your application fee and you have to re-interview....and based on that they decide whether or not your accepted.

thanks for explaining it:idea: so this means that if you don't get pull off the alternative list then you have to start all over again..........this sucks! do you know if these people will have the advantages over the new applicants?

I am guessing the ADCOM wants to see how you spent your year. Did you give up or did you fight for what you want.

that doesn't hold true for every cc, just because it was true in your case doesn't make it true in every case, thats something you have to check though if you plan on transferring. Also, IU gpa doesn't transfer to U of L, some credits, do for example speech121 but other classes like anatomy and physiology do not transfer. Just because they are both universities doesn't mean they accept credits or your gpa. Also, Ivytech is a community college that universities will accept credits from I'm sure there are restricrions and exclusion, but that goes for most everything.

what makes you the expert on peoples chances of getting in, do you work at SUCOP? Seriously, you have no more idea than anyone else. You can try to reason all you want, but in the end you don't know, because you don't work there and you aren't the decision maker. Plus, you don't know how many seats are filled which is also a factor.
 
Lol legit is always starting crap in here with everybody. However, I got put on the wait list. I look forward to improving my application, getting more classes that will help me, and becoming more competitive. Don't get discouraged if you don't get in just yet. Keep becoming a better applicant and you will be successful

ahahhaha:laugh: base on observations and personal experiences........you don't have to listen to me..everyone has their own thinking. What am i supposed to do when people asked me "what are my chances?"

Once again, YES Credits does transfer from CC to Univ...Univ to Univ and NO CC GPA does not transfer to Univ...End of story.......
 
So no letter yet....do you guys think I should email or call Paige about it? If it was sent on the 12th it should be here. It should have been here like 5 days ago.

What if the mail monster ate it, and I never know what the decision was!?!?!:help:

wow, it seems like a few have been put on the waitung list. does this mean spaces are filled up or something? can't be this fast.

Maybe, Maybe not. I think there are still plenty of interviews left to conduct so they just want to make sure they get through everybody. I don't think I'd read into it to at this point in time.

I received an email that the admissions staff had reviewed my application and I was missing a letter of recommendation. Then I called checking to see if my letter was received. They told me yea and about a week after I sent in my application I received an email for an interview. You could call and check on the status of your application. Just to make sure they received it. I had mine sent overnight and got conformation it was signed for.

Ok. I was thinking about giving them until today before I call.
 
My interview is on 10/29. I was wondering, where the interview is going to be held at? Is someone going to send me an email or call me to let me know. Did everyone have their interview in the same place. It would a great help if you can tell where the interview take place at.

The interview is at Sullivan University College of Pharmacy. When you arrive you will go into an office area to the right and tell them you have an interview.

If you are asking when they started scheduling Thursday interviews - to the best of my knowledge it was mid September. I received an invite on 9/22 for two dates in late October (mine is 10/29).
 
Also congratulations to you again nervous habits. I am so happy that you got in! You will do wonderful in the program and much success 🙂

Oh i was just curious because i received my invite in august, my interview is on nov 6.

Nothing like keeping you and us in suspense! Congrats on your great news!!!😀 It gives hope to the rest of us who are still facing our interviews.
 
I just sent in my apps today. If I had read that people are gettting waitlisted I'd probably reconsider sending in $100 to this school!

I thought the deadline was Dec 31??

It would suck if they already accepted people for all available seats.

Even if this was the case I don't think they would say anything because they would lose money.

So exactly when is the last date for interviews??
