Sullivan University Anyone?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Anyone have an idea of how many seats could be left? Wife was going to send application next week. I'm thinking it's too late based upon the previous pages that indicate that Dec interview dates are filling up.

Any thoughts?

I guarantee if they aren't full, they are pretty close to being full. If she has great stats, she can try, but there is a reason why we all applied early: It's rolling admissions. Since it is getting close to the deadline, it's going to be tough to compete with everyone if her stats aren't great.

I would tell her to go for it! Better to send it in and try than just letting the opportunity pass. Good luck!

I will say this, I grew up in the Caribbean for most of my life and the standard of education there is a lot higher than it is here. I am not sure about med or pharmacy schools there but to me that is a stereotype because islands in the Caribbean are third world so education there is automatically lower in comparison to other countries. Like I said that is just a stereotype.

Completely agree with you, Delano👍

A week has passed by.I'm patiently waiting for the notification from Sullivan. I think I did great on interview, so no regrets on that. but just getting nervous in general. Has anyone gotten any news from ADMIN lately? It's been quiet of people sharing their acceptance to school in this thread. I hope they had the meeting today so we can find out by new week! :xf:

Pinky, may I ask who did you have an interview with? Was it in the mornning?

for those who got accepted, did u guys already have a degree, a pending degree, or no degree?

I have no degree. My interview was very tense. All I got was scenarios...They don't even ask me anything about academic or grade...which I would like to explain of. Did Facione tell you when you will receive the result?

I would like to know all of those who had interview with Facione, what is your stat now?

To me, whoever had interview with Facione, most of those people were accepted. But if those who had interview with other staff and faculty (Kimberly and Jolly), cross your finger then. :xf:

I was that unlucky person who had interview with Dr. Kimberly and Professor Jolly. Very tense. I am nervous now... Just pray and hope for luck:xf:

I have no degree, and I was interviewed by Dr. Facione. Not everyone who was interviewed by him got in, as a matter of fact, I think very few people who interviewed with him got in. If I remember correctly, a few pages back there were people who interviewed with me who were waitlisted, and we all interviewed with Dr. Facione. It doesn't matter who you interview with. There isn't some secret "You're In, He's Out" method to tell if you got accepted. You can't tell what they are thinking, so stop stressing yourselves out more than what is normal. You have just as good of a chance as the next person.

I had Dr. Kimberly and Professor Jolly and had a very relaxed atmosphere and was accepted into the program. I am a non-traditional student, graduated back in 2001 with degree in chemistry. Been working in pharma industry since 2001 and just recently finished up my pre-reqs at Sullivan. GPA is about a 3.5 which includes a semester in graduate school for chemistry at UofL.

I guess I'll have her apply...

I'm not familiar with Louisville. We live in S.E. KY... market is way too crappy to sell our house and move. Commute would be brutal at over 2 hours...

Wonder what the going rates for places near the school are? Or where we can find roommate info? Is there a bulletin board or something?

Just curious.

Does anyone know if the professors who did the interview could be apart of the ADCOM?

I always figured the ADCOM was made up of the department chairs, the deans, and the interviewers.

I have an interview on Fri Nov 6,2009. The school is great, peaceful atmosphere. The staff and faculty are friendly. I had a chance talking to Paige. She is a very sweet lady. The current students are very helpful. I've met most of P1 student and even hung out with them. I did have a great time there with my friends. I truly want to go there for school; it is a great and peaceful place for education; besides that, I have so many friends going there including class of 2011, 2012, and 2013. I would be a little disappointed if I couldn't be in this year because I already have a study buddy in class of 2013. Therefore, :xf:. But if for the worst case that I am not accepted in class of 2013, I still reapply for this school and I would recommend everyone who have the same feeling as I am doing the same. Don't give up and be confident. There is always next year and don't give up your dream. 🙂🙂🙂

GOOD LUCK, you all🙂🙂🙂

Very well put and welcome aboard to this site.

I briefly mentioned in my earlier post in this thread. I had two professors- Dr. Chad Coulter, and Dr. James Nash.

I had an interview at 3:30pm which was in the late afternoon.

I haven't heard from them yet. but hopefully by next week. :xf:

wow i thought ppl interviewed with Dr. Facione got lucky......he is super nice......i dont know if he is picky......i mean ForestGRUMP got a decent GPA and Dr. Facione keeps asking about his grade.....on the other hand, Nervoushappit got a lower gpa but he didnt question her.........i dont know if he is more toward grades or other things...........

Hope this may help someone who wants to know

I came in 4 hours before my interview on Friday Nov 6 and hoped to speak with Dr. Facione and other staff/faculty. Unfortunately, everyone seemed very busy. I think Dr. Facione interviewed at least four persons that morning. He was extremely busy. Therefore, I was afraid of interupting him. Also, Dean Tran was sick after his a conference trip I guess. Thus, I didn't have a chance speaking with them both. In that afternoon, I think there were at least another four interviews.

Although I was very tired because of the rushed flight, I did have a great time and excellent experience there in Louisville. If it was not because of Red Cross upcoming event meeting, I would have stayed there longer instead of flying back home in the same day of having interview. I wish I can visit the school again sometime in theWinter/Spring.😍

I am impressed with SUCOP including staff, faculty, dean, assistant dean, and certainly not forgetting all of P1 student 😍. They all are sweet, friendly, and helpful.

Goodluck to all of you who will have upcoming interview with SUCOP:xf::xf:

Remember that GPA isn't everything. I tell myself everyday that I'm the luckiest person in the world. I honestly thought I'd have to wait it out another year.

Legit,

Curious why you called me GRUMP - I don't have a grumpy bone in my body!😀 Ever hear of runner's high? Cause I've got it in spades!

Anyone looking for a roommate?? pls let me know..

Lots of interviews lately and no results yet. Reminds me of my younger days before I met my fiance. You go out on dates and think, "Does she like me? Does she not like me? Did I say the right things?" etc. Its funny as I was talking to a girl in my class about that and how she didn't have a response yet from her interview, and I said "Its like 'just break up with me already so I can at least move on'..."

Best of luck to everyone waiting :luck: If I didn't have classes to distract me, I don't know what I'd do 😛

Trust me, it felt like an eternity when I submitted my application and waiting for my interview. Keep your head up though buddy. December is right around the corner.

Hey guys I really need your opinions about my chances to get in for the program, since it has a rolling admission system. I e-mailed them but didn’t even give me some of their Stat’s!!
About my Stat’s: overall GPA is 3.34 and have 6month pharmacy experience and also few years health related volunteering and 2 of organization club activity..
It is not the only school I’m going to apply, since the suppl appl fee is kind of pricy do you guys think is too late to apply and my chances are low? Thanks in advance!

Nobody here truly knows, but I'd guess the last several spots will go to students with GPA's in the 3.3-3.5+ area.

Well I called and spoke to Dr. Facione and he said he does not know if any more invitations will be sent out. The lady I spoke to first said that about all the interview slots were filled for the rest of the year. 🙁

Wait and see. I really suspect spots will open up.

well there is always next year.....more time to build up your status

Legit, do you wish you were the last emperor?

I have the royal bloodline in me. My ancestors were in the royal family after our dynasty collapsed. My families married to other races. My blood is diluted with others.

Has anyone heard anything from the school lately as of their acceptance wise? I'm too chicken to call and find out. I understand they're busy with more interviewees and all. but this waiting time is about to kill me. I just want to find out if I got in or not. 😕

The wait is killing me! Does anyone know how often the ADCOM meets up?
