Kazema said:Yeah I called (forgot to ask where I stood, silly me) but I did find out that yes, "Alternate/Lettered" means we survived the cut - we're on the "official" alternate list now. He said "Congratulations" like 5 times. Apparently they sent out quite a few rejection letters. And as you all know it's already starting to move now, but the serious movement won't happen until after May 15.

I really need to work on my patience. 🙄

Kazema said:Watch, they'll go down the waitlist and get to me or you and then say, "Oh, let's interview 50 more people"![]()

😀
utterlyconfused said:I called today too. I asked him if the class was full and he said that it was but there is a good turnover from now until June 22nd. He said they send out letters of acceptance until June then they start calling. I was a few weeks ago in the middle of the alternate list and now I'm on the top 1/3. Good luck to everyone.

Kazema said:I finally called to find out where my final position was - I'm in the upper middle 1/3.
So I suppose I have what, a 50/50 shot? 60/40?
Kazema said:I'm in the middle 1/3, upper part. If you're in the middle of the upper 1/3 you should get in, based on past years. I think their movement ranges from just about all the way through the whole waitlist to through the upper 1/3.

GATORade said:Any news as to where they are on the list? According to last year's thread, they were somewhere in the middle of the top 1/3 by now. I'm curious to see how the list is moving this year as compared to previous years.

Ames980 said:gator -- how long are you planning on holding off for? i have another option that begins july 31, so i need to find an apt there, but i also want to put it off as long as possible.... im thinking july 5th-ish? is that really reckless? i kind of feel like ill be forever away from school/in a crappy apt/in an outrageously expensive apartment.... oy! why doesnt mr rosso just jump the que and take us now!
samiam said:UtterlyConfused,
Really?! wow, i didn't think it would move this fast. Mr. Rosso told me I am in the lower portion of the middle 1/3, then he said, according to previous years, I had a 45% chance of an acceptance. But I think he just kinda pulled that number out of thin air. But excellent news, nonetheless.

Kazema said:
45%?
I can just see Mr. Rosso in his office pulling up Excel spreadsheets. "Well, according to the data from previous years' my forecast shows that you have a 30.5884% chance of acceptance by July 5, a 39.5791% chance of acceptance by July 20, and a 45.3326% of acceptance by July 31."
Kasey said:I got in off the waitlist on 4/27 (My birthday!) and was very surprised having gotten the letter about having the offical ranked waitlist just a few days before. But I have no idea where I was originally ranked on the waitlist! And I'm an out of stater and have no idea if there are different waitlists for in state and out of state...
But by way of hope for some people, I would actually like to stay closer to home in Baltimore, so if someone wants to trade me a temple acceptance and a little financial aid... 😉
StLTurboA4 said:I haven't gotten my snail-mail letter yet, but based on the website info...
I just got accepted~~~ 😍
I hope that info is correct... but I'm going to wait until I get that letter in hand before I really celebrate... 🙂
Good luck to everyone on the list...
Kazema said:Oooh, what kind of Infiniti?
GATORade said:I'll only tell if you trade me positions on the waitlist. 😉 Ok, fine - 2002 G20t.
Kazema said:Hmm, maybe for a G35 Coupe 😉.
I'm dreaming of the day that I own a Subaru WRX STI 😍.
Or maybe a Nissan 350Z Roadster.
Yes, yes I am Asian.
