my first interview was on 11/3, and my LMFU reads 11/6...I doubt I was accepted/rejected etc. that quickly😎 I am thinking it has something to do with interview invites.

I was told the same thing when I interviewed in El Paso back in September. Perhaps they have changed their mind since then?

You'd be surprised. I'm sure they have already decided. Usually they meet the day after the interview to discuss each applicant interviewed.

Wow, I haven't been to SDN in a long time!

I hope I hear something on the 15th! My LMFU is 111006. 😳

What school did you interview at? I was also 11/6/06. You're the only other 11/6 I've seen, that's why I ask.

That is what I heard too. Dr. Kellaway told me in an email that they have no formal policy yet (in August) and they will send out a few offers between Nov. 15 and Dec 31. They do not intend to fill their entire class at an early date, due to the many changes that are expected. Also, they do not plan to notify applicants of their status during this time. They will let the match serve as the communication, b/c the students status will be unknown until that time.

I wonder what that means for the out of staters who don't go into the match . . . .

My last interview was 9/8 and my LMFU is 9/14, so this appears to agree with your theory.
 
Ok so I have a theory. I bet that each school has offered acceptances on particular days. For instance, my LMFU says 10/4/06, and it matches others. So some school must of sent something on 10/4/06. Maybe, another school like Houston or Galveston or Tech just sent out another list of people just recently. That is why all of your dates are changing. Of course this is just my crazy theory.
 
If ya'll want to figure this out, how about everyone post what schools you've interviewed at and your LMFU.

But wouldn't that be like opening your Christmas (or Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/other festival with gifts) given early and re-wrapping it!! 🙄

Just think how much fun it will be to NOT know and then to be rabidly checking your mail for the next two weeks. And what about those poor suckers who have more than one acceptance coming their way and they only think they have one because that was the "last" last master file update. :laugh:

Based on the above infromation it looks like 100406 could be A&M or Tech

I should have added that I was invited to interview at UTSA around 10-20. (I pushed it back until later this month.)

Looks like the LMFU changes with interview invites as well?
 
Interviewed UTH, UTMB, UTSA, TCOM, and Tech.... last interview was 8/18...LMFU changed to 9/16, and then changed again to 11/10.... not sure what this means... here's to hoping for the best!

UTSA
TAMU
TCOM

So looks like 100406 might mean an acceptance at Texas A&M. I wonder if anyone out there has a 100406 and did not interview at Texas A&M. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

I just received an email from TCOM saying:

Thank you for your continued interest in the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. As you are aware, the initial round of offers to Texas resident applicants will begin on Wednesday, November 15, 2006. I want to point out a few key points about this process:

While a number of offers will be made between November 15th – December 31st, we project that the entire class will not be filled during this early offer period.

Offers will also be made during the final match day on February 15.

Unless otherwise notified, applicants who do not receive an initial offer during this period, including the February match, will still be under consideration for admission.

If your status changes, we will notify you. Use your personal portal page at http://my.hsc.unt.edu to keep track of your application on-line, any changes will be posted there as well.

Good luck to all of you in the process. If you have any questions, please feel free to reply to this email.

I just got this too. I almost peed my pants when I saw it. Then I read it and was sorely dissapointed! Those jerks! playing with my emotions!! 😡 🙂

Based upon my theory above, everyone with 100406 should move over to the Texas A&M class thread on the allopathic website. Ohhh, if only this were true. I guess we will see.

I interviewed at TCOM, UTSA, TT, and UTMB. My last interview was 9/22 at UTMB.
 
Does anyone have LMFU that is prior to all their interview dates? I am thinking schools just update the files after the interviews regardless acceptance or rejection. Just a wild guess.
 
UTMB emailed me with an invite on Nov 7.TCOM's site said I was selected for interview on Nov 9. I interviewed at UTSW on Sat, and TCOM called this morning to schedule their interview. My last 2 LMFU's were Nov 9 and Nov 13. Hope that helps.

For anyone who interviewed at UTSW Sat, what did u think?
 
Adding to the confusion...

My last interview was late Aug and my LMFU has changed randomly throughout October and my last one was last Friday - 11/10

Interviewed at --
TCOM - July 27?
UTMB - Aug 4
Tech - Aug 9
A&M - Aug 24
UTSA - Aug 28
 
Ugh how did you guys do A&M? Are you guys out of staters? It would have cost me 3 days of work and over 8 hours combined driving in addition to a 3 hour flight.

Everyone's master file update seems to either be 10/04 or sometime in november. Mine is 10/05. 0_o.

I'm pretty sure they meet on thursday. Someone asked the female doctor that
was one of the presenters.
 
LMFU---Maybe it is for interview invites?? Because mine says 11/09/06, and I just received an invite from A&M.

I guess we will just find out the mystery in a couple of days...!
 
The TMDSAS website states that your LMFU changes when there is a status change. So I'm thinking that after you interview your status changes to "interviewed", this would explain why it changes throughout the season. However, the last LMFU change to 11-10-06 indicates another change in status. Does this mean that the LMFU change the week before early offers indicates a change from "interviewed" to "accepted"? I don't know, but it sure is a coincidence.

By the way:
Interviewed at UTH, UTSA, UTMB in August.....TXA&M in September......and UTSW in early October

After looking at my last interview and my LMFU, I don't think that it changes after an interview. My LMFU is 10/30/2006. My last interview was at San Antonio on 11/6/06. I confirmed my interview on 10/31, and received notice of my interview on 10/31. So my LMFU was not updated after my interview was sent to me, after it was confirmed or after I interviewed.

UT Houston: 8/18/2006
UTMB: 9/1/2006
Tech: 10/13/2006
San Antonio: 11/6/2006
