Has everyone's Tech page now gone blank? Anyone still "Interviewed"?

Oh, here's a good one. People who've interviewed at Tech and UTSW AND can log in to the sibs page - here's the kicker - what does your Tech status page say?

Is that good or what?

Additionally, TCOM people who've interviewed at Tech - those of you who can log on to whateva that EIOU thing is...what does your Tech status page say?

The guess the thread count by Feb 1st game was nice. I think Evo was using reverse psychology when he said we don't pass 4500. However, this new game - Crack the Match 2005 - is waaaayyyyy more fun. Only three days to go! Two schools down, five to go.

I think I posted this earlier but I can log onto the UTSW page but my Tech status is stil linterviewed and it neve rwent blank.

I did check it before the 27th and had Interviewed in the status field.

It is postmarked Jan 27 '05. I guess it doesn't help that I live really close to 290 and a post office in Houston.

Ok, I'll bite. My Tech status page says interviewed and I can log onto the TCOM page and get an EIUD (or whatever it is.).

It seems like of the people who can log into the big sibs page, they are either URMs or out of state applicants. And UTSW notifies out of state acceptances early.

I may be off here, but just looking for some bit of hope.

Not to burst your bubble, but are you sure those "out of staters" aren't really texas residents going to school in another state? I think the theory is pretty sound.

Actually, I am hispanic, but Cuban (don't think that is URM, who knows) Anyhow, yes, I know asians and whites that can log on. I also know out of state person. Oh, and I think everyone is gonna get the A&M letter today. I got one (didn't interview) and since I went through the mail at my college, I saw 4 more of them in there as well. It was postmarked Jan 27 and Dated Feb 1st. I am in Houston. I am surprised that they sent it to people that interviewed as well, as I thought they weren't supposed to notify you ahead of Feb 1!

I really doubt it is an out-of-state or URM thing. I personally think the fate of those who cannot log on to UTSW is pretty much sealed.

great. that's all i was looking for. i just thought maybe URMs were kept in a different grouping and maybe they were granted access by accident early. looks like this is not the case.

Status page has been fixed all day. Yep, I get same message. I am sure that they read this or someone asked and now they shut it off as to not give away information. However, if oyu put in a fake name/pw, you still get the "User ID or Password incorrect" message, so it is just as suspicious if you see not authorized to use application. It is obvious that they cut off our access to the site, not taking us out of their system. I hope we aren't in trouble for trying to get information! I doubt they can fault us for wanting to go to their schools too much!

I'm sure with the logins, with enough work they could track down who has actually logged in recently. Knowing SDN that would narrow it down to 1/3 of the class. Although, with the number of hits that site has likely been getting, it would take a team a long time to sort through the server logs!

I'm sorry if I offended you. I am sure there was a miscommunication. I believe that admissions committees review URMs applicants differently and I just thought it was possible that their applications were grouped together. If you don't agree with me, then that's fine, it's your theory about how URMs are reviewed. I don't have a problem with that.

I don't want to turn this thread into a analysis of how URM applications are reviewed, nor do I think anyone else wants that. So I won't say anything more about this.

Once again, I'm sorry and I know that there are many very well qualified URM applicants. I was just trying to figure out why some people were getting access to the big sibs page and others weren't.

Ok, I think if you can log into the UNTHSC (TCOM) EIS page (https://ams.unt.edu/whatsmyeuid.php) and get your EUID that mean's that you've been accepted there, like you're on their accepted list even though you may match at a higher pick. I think this is the case because I looked at their Frequently Asked Questions portion for the EUID, and it said the following:

"All currently enrolled students and newly accepted students to UNTHSC will be assigned an EUID (UNTS Enterprise User ID)."

looks like we've at least cracked TCOM...
