Still waiting to hear from UTSA, UTRGV, and UTEP. Anyone else?

(I think someone told me on here before that UTSA may be doing one more round of interviews mid-January, but I still haven’t heard anything from them).

Think I should reach out or is that bad?

I am waiting to hear back from UTHSCSA ! I believe one of my friends currently attending the program said that they have another interview on January 8th. It might not hurt to check in with them!

Hi, I haven’t heard much about uthscsa, but I loved the faculty and students during my interview. How does your friend feel about the program?
 
I think she really enjoys the program! Some aspects of it were different than normal due to COVID, but the faculty members were very supportive throughout the process. Also, the students weren’t able to connect as much because they didn’t see each other in class. However, they did have a group chat!

I’m certain this is premature since it’s early in the day, but has anyone heard about UTMB waitlist yet? I’m thinking we might hear something this week since Jan 4 is the deadline for people who were accepted. Just a guess though
 
For those accepted to TWU (past or present), do you guys know how enrollment and scheduling works? I went to TWU for my undergrad, but we could just register for whatever class/time we wanted, technically. I’m just trying to get a general idea of how my classes will line up so I can work on time managing the other aspects of my life 😭

Cause my friend said he got a response with a phone number and to change his password, but I didn’t get any response to my email / received an email back. I’m not sure if I should be worried.

Yes, I already did that and didn’t receive an email...I did it on January 2nd, I figured it was the holidays / weekend, but I still didn’t get anything today.

For TWU Waitlisters, do you think they will notify us after the 15th since the accept/reject is due on the 15th?

Congrats! I received an initial interview date from them, but had to decline because I already accepted the UTMB interview slot on that date. Still waiting for them to finalize my next interview date! Super anxious!

You might hear back soon then! I will be denying the interview so hopefully that opens up more slots!
 
what is the utmb waitlist based off of? I thought in their email they said the waitlist was based off of prerequisites but I had to email them for something else and she said it was based off of everything?

I thought that too but I think that statement in the initial waitlist email was just misleading. I had prerequisite missing and sent my updated transcript once it was finished. They responded telling me not to send updates and to wait until I was off the waitlist.

I think the statement in the it initial email just meant that if all your grades weren’t in yet and you happened to get a failing prereq grade you’d be kicked off the waitlist.
 
I’m freaking out, all of a sudden my MyStar account says I don’t have an active application??? Anyone else?!

I am on the waitlist also. I’m very scared about what this means. I haven’t gotten any other correspondence from them. Honestly I’m just glad I’m not the only one

Mine looks the exact same. /: I’m wondering if this means they’ve accepted everyone in? Not sure how much of a possibility that is, but I’m not sure what to think honestly.

That’s what I was thinking too.... I’m trying not to be devastated until I actually know what it means. I emailed to ask.
 
My mystar says the samePlease let us know what their reply is.

Has anyone that has been waitlisted at TTUHSC, receive a contingent agreement for admissions via mail?

I’m at Twu right now and we are given a list of specific classes/time slots to register for classes. Everything is predetermined by the department since we move as a cohort - it’s not the same as undergrad where you pick your own classes. Hope that helped! 🙂
 
So has no one been taken off the waitlist for TWU? I interviewed for TWU Dallas and I'm getting nervous.

On the waitlist for Dallas too and haven't heard anything yet. I think they might be waiting until after the 15th deadline to send out emails?

thank you! and im not too sure tbh, it doesn't say a specific location in the email but I did apply for the austin location!
 
Just out of curiosity, for people that got into TWU Denton and/or UTMB, do you mind sharing yours stats? (GPA, GRE, Observation hours and settings). I feel like my interviews went really well, so I want to see if it’s perhaps something about my stats that’s put me behind. Thanks 🙂

I don’t know. I emailed recently (because I hadn’t heard anything from them at all since applying) and they said they’re still considering interviewing people.

I emailed them and the admissions director told me we would be hearing back at the end of this week or begining of next week! Good luck everyone 🙂
