The Brown Widow Spider

Found a few in a corner of the back porch several months ago. Growing up here I'm used to seeing black widows and other variety of our usual arachnid suspects, but had to look this one up. There were several of those characteristic egg sacs around as well that confirmed it.
 
Yawn. Not news.

Also, the stories conflict about more or less dangerous than blacks. Either way, they aren't super dangerous to adults.
 
Don't publicize this; all my abscessed patients will claim their boils are from brown widows and request admission.
 
Also seen one of these actually right by my front door. Had the hourglass and the characteristic egg sacs. Had to look it up also. This was about 1 year ago and I live on the edge of the orange line above

I hate spiders!!

Of course, I have long thought that they will take over the world--once they all cross breed with each other... A brown recluse widow is next to make an appearance! Its bite will turn you into a zombie...
