That's strange... what would make you get waitlisted there?
My status didn't change to check back dec 2nd. Other people statuses did. According to past years thread status change means ur accepted dec 2nd
That's a possibility. It's also possible that they only had those candidates selected so far. Nothing is final till the end of tomorrow though. SDN has the talent of giving us all hyperparanoia. I was just reading through my personal statement (after already having an interview) and noticed that I should have restructured a sentence to enhance clarity, lending the small idea that, "you used questionable phrasing for that one sentence - rejection!" Plus I was thinking things like, "you included your name in interview feedback - rejection!" "You suggested that they do 'X' to make the interview better when 'X' was already provided (didn't know) - rejection!"
If the waitlist does happen, remember that there is also a lot of fluidity in the first 1-2 weeks after Dec. 2nd; many people turn down acceptances to attend other schools. So, if you're right and you're waitlisted for Minnesota, don't panic too much yet. You also have interviews at other places, so there are likely other acceptances.
All we need to do (all we can do) at this point in time is survive the next 4 days. We can make considerations for what to do next after "D-Day" happens.

My number one school changed my status today to "Please check back December 2 for more information regarding your decision status at this school." I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT ANSWER WILL BE REVEALED!!

Today? so that means someone is working on ADASAS to update? lol, my two "invited for interview" haven't change... hopefully something good on monday

I know! I was so shocked when I saw the update this morning. I check my portal way more times a day than I probably should, and it did not say that last night when I went to bed but said it this morning around 10. But don't worry: two of my others still say "invited for interview." I am so excited for all of us.
can u share the link to the specific thread? I interviewed at Minn and felt really good about it… mine has not changed either
search for 2017 minnesota acceptance/rejection thread. I read through every page and looked up the members posts. Those that had their statuses changed were accepted dec 3rd. The ones that didn't did not get accepted ON dec 3rd (waitlisted/rejected)
How weird is it that I'm oddly at peace? I'm still excited, but for some reason all of the anxiety is gone.
Dude, same thing happened to me - #1 changed to such status today. :O I can empathize!

Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel like we're getting a lot of notifications this year. It seems as though very few schools have changed a status in AADSAS, probably because of the holiday being so close to Dec 2. But I guess that's good because then we're truly finding out on Dec 2 and no mess-ups this year. Good luck everyone and I hope we all get the acceptances we're looking for!

Anyone else feel like your posting on SDN has secretly been monitored by an adcom and will influence their decision of acceptance/rejection (even if you haven't said anything "bad")? I know that thought is utterly ridiculous... I know it is... is it?

Absolutely (but not necessarily secretly)! Case knows for sure, and I'm sure many other schools are on here. That's why it's just best to have nothing to hide. 🙂
I wish more schools were active on here. It has been SO helpful with Case, and is what initially attracted me to the school. I loved the dental program and wouldn't have even really considered it if not for Dr. Chuck's involvement. This is a very stressful process, and any school that tries to keep their applicants updated and informed wins major points in my book.
Who else is really nervous for Monday? Do you know what time they update to "Offer Made" on the portal usually?
Depends on the school. Some update at 12am, others wait until the morning.

so what exactly is the rule? Is it dec 1st or first monday in december?
Date wise it would be dec 1st, but since this year, dec 1st is Sunday, it would be this december 2nd.
last year many people's statuses were updated on dec 1st (saturday)

I did that at 9:00pm pacific time, since that would be 12 eastern time... lol.. no change in portal nor the mobile version.
