2003: 13.70%
2004: 16.20%
2005: 29.7%

I noticed that. I really think US News may have mistakenly used the % Interviewed number! NYU interviews about 1/3, and about 1/2 get in off interview. Half of 29.7% is about 15%, near their average accept rate. What a big mistake if thats what really happened. Maybe NYU slipped a spot or 2 b/c of this. They must be steaming over at nyu!

There is speculation on the rate decreasing next year with the reintroduction of AMCAS applications. But who knows.

I would seriously be interested to know if this is true. Anyone know for sure? I can definitely tell you that seeing that number has really turned me off.

interesting though that SDN has a 25% acceptance rate so far before waitlist movement. Of course this is such a self selective sample it probably means diddly squat.
