Another year, another month and a half of misery. I already can't escape the Xmas songs. **** you Jingle Bells. Everytime I hear someone say anything related to anything that happens in late November or December makes me want to punch them.
I wish there was no more "Holiday Season." The same damned songs, symbols, food, movies, shows..same damned everything....every year...year after year after year...ad infinitum.

A holiday in which we show our "thanks" for being so lucky to be born in the industrialized world by treating ourselves by sitting around and gorging on food for two straight days in the most obese country in the history of the world? Meanwhile, there are kids in Africa that haven't eaten in 5 damned days. You give "thanks" by sacrificing something in someway. There's a reason why Christmas is celebrated at the same time as Winter Solstice. It's really just a Pagan holiday. That's why you have trees. It's an ancient European deistic mystery religion symbol. But, yet, the people that believe the dominant religion of our Western culture for the last few millenniums treat it like its actually their holiday. And that's fine, I guess. I get candy canes 80% off come the first week of January.
Anyway...right there, we can show that the holiday has no intrinsic and legitimate tie to the religion its supposed to be associated with.
Of course, people will retort with that whole "holiday spirit" bull****.

Of course, with the expectation that other family and friends will buy you ****, too. Vegas gave the US like 5 touchdowns in that one against the favored British. And we beat their stupid overrated asses. Haha. **** you Queen/King.
Labor Day
Why? Because labor is what makes the world run. Capitalists get WAAAAAAY too much credit for everything. They should have Labor Month as far as I'm concerned. The only lame thing is that some laborers have to work. F' that. NOBODY except for critical employees should be expected to work. Like Xmas.
Veteran's Day
Why? Dudes got sent halfway around the world just to get shot at. That's enough for me. Hell, I'd expect a damned holiday for that ****, too. Plus my pops is a Desert Storm Vet. In the words of Ali G, "Respek."

Washington, Paine, Franklin, Jefferson...I'm talking about some REAL intellectuals. Those sons of bitches each had IQs over 150. They were true philosopher-kings. And again, with the balls. My god the balls. It's like Hawaii trying to break away from the US and telling them to come get some if they want their land back. And then Hawaii beating the living **** out of the US with the help of maybe a few sympathetic Chinese generals. And yet what do we do for them? A bunch of stupid fireworks? No. We need to restructure this holiday to be much, much more badass than that.
Easter
Why? Just like Christmas, it's a "Christian" holiday that "just so happens" to be at the same time as ancient Pagan Earth-based religions Spring equinox celebrations that celebrate the renewal and increased fertility of nature. Hence, the Easter egg. Just like the Xmas tree, a Pagan symbol...for a Pagan holiday. There is a reason why Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon that occurs after the Vernal Equinox. You know...because all of those Abrahamic religions revolve around phases of the moon and equinoxes...🙄 Though I do appreciate it because it means that soon I will be seeing girls in miniskirts around town. So maybe its not THAT bad.
Columbus Day
Why? The dude wasn't the first human to see the Americas. A few million aboriginal folk had him beat. WTF kind of hubris is that, really? Hell, he wasn't even the first European to come to the Americas. That would be the Vikings. Basically, it's a holiday for Italians to feel like they accomplished something. Whatever, they brought us lasagna, cappuccino, and have great pizzerias. Plus their women are usually good lookin'. I'll give them a pass. But not their stupid ass holiday.

Why? It's a bull**** holiday, period. It's made for women, by women for the benefit of women. **** that. I leave the toilet seat up all day on purpose.

I always work the holidays - no kids, no family close, and get paid more to do less.
I haven't even played the campaign yet - this is the first video game I've played in 4 years. I gotta be the WORST level 36 player - my K/D is like 0.3, longest kill streak is 5, haha. I pretty much suck, but I can't seem to stop playing it....
Speaking of Modern Warfare 2...I just got 1000/1000 gamerscore. The Spec Ops missions "High Explosive" and "Snatch and Grab" on veteran are ungodly difficult. The celebratory scream I let out when I finally took out Snatch and Grab on veteran going solo scared the **** out of my wife.

Yeah, Caesars is probably my favorite place in AC in terms of what you get for your money, all the other casinos (with the exception of the borgata) just aren't as nice. Plus Caesars has a mall attached to it, even though most of the stores are for rich people
Total rewards is a must have though, you can save a lot of money by getting free/discounted hotel rooms, even if you venture out to vegas
i decided to splurge on borgata this time b/c i luckily found a job in houston (my so just moved there for a job in the education field), so I can at least enjoy some of money that I had saved up

This "Meet the natives USA" show on the Travel Channel is wonderful. Basically, they got 5 people from an isolated Pacific island and they are taking a tour of the US. It winds up being a scathing and humorous look at just how futile and bizarre American culture is. Their take on Thanksgiving and Xmas is making me happy.

If you want a cheapie that tastes mind-blowingly good and very smooth, Trader Joes has this red wine -it's only $5.99 that is just pure liquid awesomness. I don't remember the exact name but the bottle has this big picture of the compass on the front, so it's hard to miss.
