I interviewed early autumn and didn't hear any news today... 🙁 Is an acceptance still possible?

I just called and learned that if you didn’t hear back yet that just means a final decision hasn’t been made and that it’s still possible to get accepted, waitlisted or denied

How has a final decision not been made when we interviewed months ago?? What are they basing their decision upon still?

I called admissions and no, I did not ask how many were already accepted but please share if you do. I mainly called bc I thought they said my interview group should hear back on Monday (good or bad)

I have been receiving acceptance deposit and background check information emails from them since the 3rd. Buffalo is my top choice so I'm sending in my deposit next week! Perhaps some of you have incorrect emails in their system? I interviewed early/mid November.

Because the interview invites and thank you emails went to the wrong email addresses, right?

I did but i’m not so sure, people I interviewed with already got their offers, I’m thinking it’s more of a “do you want to be on the waitlist or no” kind of deal

Nah, not yet. I scoured through old threads, no one really has said much, historically. From what I have seen there could be some movement in the next few days, but we won't know until it happens. I'm right there with you, hoping that buffalo gives me some good news too.

Wow, awesome job on the DAT! I don't know why Nova is being so quick to throw away good Canadian applicants. For our sake I really hope that we can hear before April cuz that would probably kill me.

Received invite to interview on August 17th.
Submitted on July 20th (iiiish)
Interviewed with the very first round of interviewees on 9/24/18.
18AA DAT. On both attempts.
3.5 Overall, 3.4 Science. Biomedical Engineering major graduated from University at Buffalo, as well.

Still waiting to hear from NYU. I applied to a few other schools but rly hoping to stay in state.
Interviewed at Touro on 12/5 (first POST-dec interview group) and was told I should hear back within 7-10 days with a decision.
AADSAS portal for UB has indeed changed to waitlisted.

I did, but someone who applied last year said they don’t accept Canadians till April/May after the Canadian schools also release decisions so I’m not really hopeful

I did not get the "are you still interested" call, but got put on the waitlist. I'm in state, about an hour and a half away, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I come home to have breakfast and recharge. Lab work was never an issue cause I was so close. Get out of bed at 750 for 8am class lol. I wanted to pay for that convenience. Couldn't have payed me enough to eat in the student lounge. Bless my classmates but I needed some me time during the day.

Its near $900 I think now for new tenets, not sure. But including all utilities except for internet/cable.

It basically said that you were placed on Alternate Status, they will review your application periodically and you can be selected at any point maybe even as late as August

Theres shuttles between campuses, even some housing districts like Colligate village. I'm from NYC and I've seen worse down there then up here. I see some homeless people every now and then but never really felt unsafe. Theres been a mugging every now and then on south campus, but that happens on north too. Theres campus police at both. I interviewed in November and still haven’t received anything but my AADSAS status says wait listed so can I just trust this and consider myself an alternate??
I’ll probably give them a call on Monday since their website says interviewed applicants are informed within two weeks after December 3 but I don’t want to seem too pushy lmao

Buffalo is my top choice so it’s been hard trying to be patient if anyone has advice on how to chillllllll while existing on the waitlist hmuuu
