Hello Everyone! I didn't see a thread for Creighton up yet. Anyone receive any news about interviews from them yet? I think invites might be coming soon. Based on last year August 1st interviews were sent out so hopefully sometime this week!
 
I hope so! I got an e-mail a couple weeks ago from them saying my application was complete and it was under review.
 
Just got off the phone with the school and they said they should begin reviewing applications sometime next week when the faculty come back from break.
 
Do we send the supplemental and application fee through mail?
 
When did you guys submit the secondary application and received the confirmation email?

I submitted AADSAS July 7th,
submitted secondary July 28th
Application complete August 3rd
 
Got the application complete email on 8/15 and haven't heard anything since
 
I got an interview invite 9/6 and they sent an email saying my application was complete 7/17

I am curious if anyone had experienced an interview at Creighton. They did not mention too much about interview details it in the "Interview email", just that the Chair would conduct it.

So I am curious if anyone knows if it is a:
  • Open or closed file
  • What style: 1v1, MMI, hybrid, etc
  • What is tone of interview: serious, chill, etc
 
Just curious, any Creighton undergrad students not get an interview?

I've heard that with some applicants they don't give an interview and just accept them, especially if they went to undergrad at Creighton.
 
Have an interview on Tuesday! Anyone have any advice to prepare for this or what the structure is? Heard that it is extremely laid back. Anyone know if we enter part of the new building as well? I know it's still under construction!

The dentist I shadowed had this happen to him. Obviously he was accepted a few years ago by now, but I think they still don't require an interview for acceptance. He said he got a call December 1st and he was accepted- without ever visiting the school. He ended up going and graduating from there too. He went to Loyola University of Chicago for undergrad, so I'm not sure if they have preference for one student over another based on undergrad. My impression is that, if they like what they see on paper they may deem it unnecessary to have an interview.

That sounds like a nice gig..It would save me a lot of money not having to interview. Do you know what his stats are like by any chance?

Interviews are optional. I’m pretty sure everyone who is considered for the incoming class will be invited for an interview. Whether they go or not is their choice. Not sure if it affects them negatively.

Again his was however many years ago, but he had a 19AA and a 3.9GPA. I don't know the break down any better, like his science GPA or his individual section scores on the DAT

In an email from the school they said typing it was fine

Unfortunately no tour of any part of the new building except driving past the exterior, the site is fenced off. However, it looks incredible!
 
Based on this thread it seems like they haven't given out many interviews... Does anyone know if pre-December interviews are filled? Got the app complete email 8/15 and haven't anything since
 
At my interview they told me they are giving out 200 pre-dec interviews for the 115 seats, and will continue interviewing after if needed.
 
My status changed to Check back Dec. 1st after my interview for my instate dental school, but I have been at Received/Application Complete since mid July for this school so..

It is possible. I don't know how common it is for people that don't go to Creighton undergrad, but I'm an undergrad there right now and multiple advisors have told me they usually just outright accept qualified Creighton undergrads without offering an interview.

I find it a little bit weird because I would still like the formal process of seeing everything they have to offer, but I don't really have an option lol

Nope! I honestly wanted to sit in an interview with Dr. Norton but they told me that Creighton undergrads won't need an interview unless they explicitly say so
