I applied broadly to about 20 schools due to my lower GPA; I ended up having 4 interviews, three of which were pre-dec and 1 was post-dec. I got waitlisted at every school I interviewed at so this is my first/only acceptance thus far.
 
How many more spots do you guys think will open up in the next few months?

I received the wait list opportunity email sent out last month. But I hear there are a lot of people on this list?

The opportunity list is not the same as their actual waitlist. Basically was just a waitlist for the waitlist....

Yes it will be. You can also keep an eye out for it on AADSAS. It will update too

I’m confused, does this mean if we didn’t get a waitlist email that was sent out a few weeks ago, it’s pretty much over like a silent rejection? Or is there still a chance to make the waitlist? Seems like the two acceptances yesterday both got that email.

The email that went out last month in regards to be “considered” for the waitlist was sent to everyone who applied who also meet the minimum requirements for admissions (of course there could be some exceptions). If you didn’t meet these requirements they denied you via email. Emails are now being sent out in regards to actually being on the waitlist (I am unsure if they have finished this or not). As for the soft rejection the only way to know for sure is if someone has asked if they have finalized their active waitlist or not.

I got neither an email for a waitlist spot nor an email denying me.... Starting to think they never looked at my app at all lol. Not complaining with how my cycle went, just think it's weird I never heard anything, not even a rejection

This is exactly where I am at as well. I even had a meeting with Dr. Norton at the school back in Feb. Said I would likely be on top of waitlist since class was full at that time. But I never got waitlist email or anything at all

No, because quite frankly, by the time I started to notice how strange it was, I had already been accepted to schools that I would've attended over Creighton (no disrespect, heard nothing but great things and as a Jesuit school undergrad, I love their mission and outreach... but y'all know how the application cycle goes). I might call just because I'm curious. I got the confirmation of payment but my AADSAS never went past "received/complete"

Did you receive an email for waitlist opportunity AND an email for the actual waitlist? Or just one?
 
Just received waitlist email. I believe it might just be the opportunity email. If they are still doing this there must be at least a spot or two open.. who knows!

It said considered for position but the subject said waitlist opportunity. I’m not sure if there is a difference between waitlist and waitlist opportunity because one of the guys who posted last week and was accepted said he got the opportunity email

That’s the same email people got. Honestly I’m not quite sure what’s going on with Creighton. In the past they have had the same email go out then proceeded to make a waitlist from those people... however with recent events I’m assuming that is the waitlist... but who knows.

Glad to hear you finally got that email though! I know you’ve been waiting to hear back from them.

I think April 17th since they only give 15 days to respond back and the acceptance emails went on April 2nd...
 
For those that got acceptance emails, did you get the letter in the mail? I know I have about 15 days, but can I send in a deposit before geting the letter?

You can go online to the Creighton NEST and pay the deposit there. That's what I did.
 
Where do dental students usually live? Is there graduate school housing for professional students? Anyone input would be helpful thank you!
 
I will be dropping my spot at Creighton this week. Those of you still waiting to hear back, be on the lookout for an email!
