July 8 exam = August 9 release date
you don't really need the in-class; if you have Kaplan, use the online live video sessions; and ALL the test packs you canJuly 8 exam. Have slowly started content review with princeton books. Also signed up for an in class session but it looks like that will be cancelled due to lack of people. hurray
Do you get free access to the live video sessions if you buy the kaplan books?you don't really need the in-class; if you have Kaplan, use the online live video sessions; and ALL the test packs you can
Oh ok gotcha thanks. Ill look into itno, only if you pay for the online-live, or in-person course
you do NOT get it if self-paced, but you do get a bunch of other videos to watch
I have the full set of princeton review books and some kaplan flashcards. Will probably do some khan videos as well and need to get some more practice testsJust some additional information about me...I'm a non-traditional applicant who already has a PhD and several years of post-doctoral research experience in basic and clinical science. I'm studying using Kaplan, supplementing it with Kahn Academy, and hopefully, if time allows, will spend June studying from the EK books. I work full time, so I try to put in at least 20 h per wk. In May, I'm going to start simulating the exam conditions with practice exams. Plan on taking vacation right before the exam to try and cram in some extra review. So far, I have finished reading all the review material and I'm now working on solidifying what I've learned with practice questions and review.
I'd love to hear what everyone else is doing....
It won't hinder your chances if you have everything else complete.
Will you be COMPLETE at the schools later than others? Perhaps, yes. Will that completely throw your cycle off? Probably not. What will hurt is not completing secondaries promptly (which you will get from many schools BEFORE the MCAT is provided).
I know of 3 people who submitted in Sept to AMCAS, verified in Oct, interviewed and accepted same cycle. Oh, and they are also ages 38+...
Yes. That is my plan but I'm also considering putting in all of them.. wavering atm.do you plan on submitting your primary in June ... before getting your MCAT score?
@Ad2b When are you going to start your Q-packs from AAMC.
I have taken Kaplan diagnostic, #2, #3 (did those last summer in prep for 9/15 MCAT which I did not sit for)what FL's have you taken so far?

@Marine2MD - just remember to space out FL exams by about a week; take a full day to review what you missed, review the content for what you missed before retaking a FL.
The articles and links I posted are just to help get people used to reading dense research materials, if they so choose.

Thanks again for the info! I was originally thinking of taking them about 4 days apart to allow for review. The articles are a significant help in my mind. None of my previous classes really covered examination of detailed experiments or dense research material. Sure we covered the basics with the Hershey-Chase, Avery/MacLeod/McCarty, and Mendelson but that was about it. My immunology and biochem class however actually requires us to present articles and decipher diagrams/materials and outline the experiment so it helps. I think that held me back significantly last year on the B/B section.
