Thanks for the heads-up. I called and they usually end by 3PM. Although, I'm not familiar with the traffic from Tampa to LECOM.

If one of your science professor LORs are from a prof you did research under they won't accept that. I was wondering why mine wasn't complete because my letters were submitted more than a month ago and they said both letters must be from core science professors you took classes from... I wish they had made that clear before I paid to apply. Ugh.

Wow, that's pretty picky. I'm surprised they didn't just accept what letters you had. I do have 2 science professor letters, one dentist, and one professor/advisor. Hopefully that's enough. My folder hasn't been updated at all, there is just nothing there :shrug:
 
I got a C- in organic 2, and they do not accept a C-. I emailed saying that I would retake the class and they said okay that works. In my portal it still says it is not complete because of this. Will they not review my application until I send in a new transcript with it?

That's pretty much what I heard too. I emailed and got a response from Molly Hudson who said that the interview day usually ends around 230pm. Nice to know I don't have to change my flight.
 
Can anyone who has had an interview at LECOM describe what the interview process was like or any tips? Also does the school send out more information on the interview process and where the actual interview is/how to get there.. I am an oos applicant so I hope I can find my way around..
 
Should we contact them if our folder items still shows nothing, and its been a little over 2 weeks? Both of my letters are from core science professors, so I am not sure why it is not yet on there? Are they just still processing?

I'm wondering the same thing....
 
I emailed them because mine was empty as well and she said that it would take 2-6 weeks for processing. I sent my secondary in about three weeks ago...
 
Ok guys... so it seems like LECOM pushed back my application and under their portal it says, "committee will re-review your file 60 days."

is this supposed to be a good sign? feeling hopeless guys. I want some opinions!
 
Hey guys, if anyone has an interview around Aug 28th and wants to split a room I got a double at the Holiday Inn Lakeland Ranch for only $85 from the 27th to the 30th.. there is a shuttle to and from LECOM on the 28th also.. PM me if you're interested. Good luck everyone!!
 
PreDentNJ...It won't let me look at our convo I started with you yesterday! Ill start a new one with you...for some reason its shooting me an error message.
 
My AADSAS app sends out this week (I know, I know, I'm later than I needed to be), and from what I have read, it seems that LECOM is about done filling interview spots, and it is a little too late in the game to apply to LECOM for this cycle. Am I correct, or should I give it a shot?
 
Just scheduled an interview on the 23rd! If anybody wants to split a room/car, let me know asap because I'll be looking into hostels otherwise (if they have any).
Also, anybody know the agenda to the interview? It would certainly help in planning for flights and rentals.

Jordan1671 why not just apply anyway? They seem to be very OOS-friendly, and best-case scenario they interview you after Dec 1st and you're given a late spot

Yes, I mentioned this in the LECOM Interview thread. I emailed them asking the same question and they said the interview day should be completed by 230pm.

I just recently took the DAT and sent LECOM my scores, receiving this as a reply from them. I already completed the secondary app. What does this mean?

I'm guessing they meant to say once AADSAS receives your DAT scores because many schools don't accept unofficial scores, but wait until the official scores are uploaded.
 
I'm having trouble with LECOM as well.... Still my application is incomplete there...
 
I submitted my application on July 11th and I received an application complete email on the 25th but haven't yet received the supplemental application. Should I be worried?
 
Anyone know how interview process goes? Also I would like to know about PBL. I heard they have two interviewer but do we have PBL interview as a group and an individual interview?

I have my interview on the 23rd as well! I'm already splitting with someone but we're staying at the holiday inn that's closest to LECOM. They gave us a good price so try to book there!

Did the interview invite come into your spam folder? My portal said I would receive an email, but that was 12+ days ago and I haven't received anything yet. I'm going to call tomorrow to find out what's going on.

Also - I used a letter from a research professor (research for academic credit, if that makes a difference)

Intro presentation (welcome, PBL, curriculum, financial aid), Tour or interview, Lunch, I forgot after. There will be total of six students including you and two faculties.

I'm flying from Indy to Tampa. Flying to Sarasota would be the closest, but for me it would have been $200 more expensive.

im also flying from indy to tampa. the price difference is worth the hr commute. Are you renting a car or did you find any public transit from tampa to brandentaon?
 
fyi anyone looking to split rooms let me know. the lecom rates for the places suggested by LECOM admission in brandenton is reasonable but wouldnt mind sharing since you do have the option of selecting double occupancy. My interview date is 9/23.

I wanted to rent a car too. But the people in my life don't want me to drive alone in a foreign state. Like I'm a horrible driver and might die or something.
 
Got an email from LECOM saying that I am missing some requirements...... This is my second year applying (applied in OCT last year (WAY TOO LATE)) and I had all the required courses when my app was reviewed then, but somehow they are saying now that I don't..... Whats the deal??????

Also they want me to send a final transcript to the committee even though my final script was sent with my application..... Anyone ever had this happen? Do they take a while to respond by email? or does anyone have a phone number? Does anyone know of which address to send the transcript to? Thanks

Similar situation with me, they're waiting for fall grades (I'm only taking a 3 credit course that is a pre-req for a another school). I havent had a chance to get in contact with them, but it seems like it's a way for them to re-recview the file after all apps are in.
 
My AADSAS status shows that "waiting additional information" , but I got my interview invitation today. 🙂 I scheduled mine on Nov. 6th.

I had a similar situation with a mail out date about a week or two earlier than yours. Had a few "missing items" that had definitely been sent in a month prior, so I called and they said they would check it out when they could--but in a little over a week I received an interview! I am sure they are just swamped with a great amount of application materials. Stay patient (easier said than done)!
 
Hi everyone. im looking to split my hotel room with another female for 9/23 interview. The room will be for 9/22. the total cost is 94 (includes tax). The hotel is Holiday Inn Lakewood ranch. They have a shuttle to and from school and provides complimentary breakfast. I ended up getting a double bed room since other rooms were not available when i checked. pm me if interested. They staff seemed really accomodating to LECOM prospects and said they may let us check out later or hold our stuff in a locked room until interview ends.
 
Can someone pm me some advice? I received a message on the LECOM portal more than a month ago saying I would receive info via email on how to set up my interview. Time passed and I received no email. I've called the admissions office and left messages but never received a call back. I'm out of the country for a couple more weeks so there isn't much I can do until I get back but I don't want to miss out on my interview. Any suggestions? I've checked my spam and every other Gmail folder for the last 2 months and never received a follow up email
 
hmmm thats weird. so it probably says that under "view admissions status" right? have you tried clicking the "interview" tab and then click "LECOM interview", there should be a little calendar shown there with all the possible dates for interviews that you can click on. if there isnt it might be a problem with the portal and you can email their IT people and they should be able to fix it for you. i had a problem with the portal in july and they were able to fix it for me.
 
So, my portal says the interview starts at 9:00AM.
What time should I be there? and also what time does it end roughly?
 
My interview email says 8am but the interview confirmation email says 9am so I think I'm going to be there at 8 just to be safe.
