*** The Official LECOM Dental Class of 2019 Interview/Acceptance Thread ***

From what I remember they said they accepted 100 from December... I could be wrong haha. I surely hope they are not done and another batch is coming our way by tonight guys 🙁
 
My portal says the same you guys, The admissions committee has made a decision on your application. An official letter will be sent within 30 days....I am really hoping this doesn't mean a rejection. Keeping my hopes up, I am trying not to freak out.

Do you think acceptances go out all throughout the week or just on one day? If all throughout the week then we may hear more tomorrow.
 
STUMPMT...I saw last year where someone got in on a Tuesday so maybe they will continue to send them out tomorrow?

Not sure... I saw acceptances on 1/1 and 1/3 but I think the difference was due to the years (2017/2018 cycles)

Pretty sure it had to do with which day fell on a Monday.

I don't understand... Lecom doesn't even show up on my aadsas..ugh

Did your status change on the Lecom portal as well ??
 
Will be withdrawing my spot on the wait list, GL all!
 
I did not have lecom on my aadsas portal until this morning and it says waitliste.. My lecom portal changed to "decision made will send letter etc" yesterday around 2ish
 
Still nothing on my AADSAS 🙁

My lecom portal changed from "under review" to "made a decision...letter in 30 days" yesterday around 1pm. This morning my AADSAS portal changed from "received/waiting additional info" to "wait listed".

At my interview she said the next round of acceptances will go out Jan 1st/2nd
 
Lecom portal changed to ".....letter within 30 days." Yesterday around 2pm however unlike you folks nothing is on my aadsas. I'm worried it may be a rejection for me 🙁
 
will probably be withdrawing my spot on the wait list! I did so bad in the interview, i am surprised.

so are you guys waiting for the letter in the mail to email them that you are still interested to be an alternate?
 
My status from LECOM on the LECOM portal still reads "Your file is under review by the Admissions Committee. We will notify you as soon as a decision has been made." and no LECOM on my AADSAS. What does this mean? I thought I would at least get a notification of wait list.
 
On my Aadsas nothing is showing up...I hope that isn't a bad sign....

I interviewed August 28th too, I hope it's not a rejection but I am just not seeing any updates on my aadsas!

I feel ya. I interviewed September 9th.
 
I was interviewed the following week. It seems like everyone who was waitlisted was notified at the same time so....ya :/
 
5 am for me. I think there is a delay in the system bc it has a decision date of 12/1 and it wasn't there Monday.
 
There are so many applicants on AADSAS there could be a delay I suppose...just a thought haha

Is anyone trying to make a decision between LECOM and another school this month? I was recently accepted to both LECOM and ASDOH, and I don't believe it will be an easy decision for me. I am a Florida resident, and I loved both schools, and I love that both provide their students extensive clinical experience. I feel like I may be leaning towards ASDOH because it is older and more established (also loved the faculty and how personalized their interview experience was), but I also like the idea of staying in Florida close to family and friends. While I understand the significance of their group interview, it didn't feel as personal, and I didn't feel like I truly got to know the faculty and vice versa. I think that is part of the reason I am struggling with this decision.


I have definitely heard students are happy and less stressed at both schools. But if any LECOM students are on this thread, could you please offer honest advice on what you might do with this situation?

Or other students facing a decision--why are you choosing LECOM?

I have experience with problem based learning, and while I think it is useful, I worry if LECOM does it too much? Will I miss lecture learning? Do you learn everything on your own? Do you find that the faculty are approachable and available to you?
 
Still nothing on AADSAS :/
 
I'm sure we can call the school to find out where we stand
