Yay! Got accepted as well! I was so worried last night that i even made my first post ever on sdn asking if anyone heard back. But congrats to everyone that got accepted this morning!
 
Anyone know if the Audit is only completed after you've paid your full deposit?

What Audit are you talking about?

Academic audit? Or criminal/profile background check?

My friend who goes to the schools said that they don’t have a class scrub color they change your name tag color year to year. I believe students buy their own scrubs and their is a club/organization that gets them embroidered.
 
I had a great interview experience. My interviewers made me comfortable and we basically had a conversation. Just be prepared to answer basic questions such as tell me about yourself, why dentistry, strengths and weaknesses, and you should go good to go. Good luck!
 
So there were reports from this thread regarding hostile tones, and thus those posts were removed and actions were taken. Should this behavior continue, the consequences will become more severe.

Please don't get into arguments with each other- be the bigger person and just drop it.

And also, if you ever see something that you think is against our Terms of Service, please report it! We want the forums to be as supportive and collaborative as they can be. 🙂

can confirm! doesn't matter the color you wear. the people i've talked to also said they have FIGS fundraisers every year too 🙂

Ooo I’ve been looking into figs! So does that mean we can get discounts through the school??

it's the class councils that host the fundraisers, so i believe the scrubs are already discounted. i'm not sure how many fundraisers they have though, but for sure they'll have one at the beginning of the year
 
On the tuition, there is a small portion for the 'health insurance', do you guys know how to waive it? Thanks a lot !!!!
 
Anyone who has been interviewed last week, has heard of any response yet?

I think I remember them saying we have to show proof that we are insured, but I'm not sure when this will take place... I'm assuming we send in proof once they ask for it in the upcoming months or during orientation
 
Anybody interviewing on the 20th? I'm thinking about booking The Marcel at Gramercy, New York, which is like 7 minutes walking distance from the school. if anybody is staying there too maybe we can walk together that day to the interview 🙂
 
Where do they state their conditions of the offer (graduating, grade maintenance, prereqs)?

Everything's in the Welcome Portal I believe. Regarding conditions of matriculation, I think there's just the Academic Audit for which you have to send them your final official transcript that has your bac degree and pre-req courses (English, Physics, Bio, Chem, Orgo) printed on it. I don't think I've seen any mention of grade maintenance but I might be wrong.
 
Do not go to nyu guys, Reapply,reapply, reapply!!!
My friend repeated a year after she couldn’t pass 3 courses at the first time. If you fail less than 3 courses you can remediate only 1 time. If you don’t pass, you have to repeat the whole year! No chance for remediation if you don’t pass more than 3 courses. You have to pay full tution, lose of income and repeat all didactic, labs, and clinical!!
Each year 20-30 students repeating the year(D1,D2,D3 even D4) and nyu charges more money.
I heard everything is corrupted. Do not go.

I'm interviewing on the 20th! 🙂 But I'm still deciding where to stay.
