Can people please post their stats when they get an invite? or if you don't want to share, just indicate that you don't want to share

1) What is the policy on using technology in class? Can we use laptop/or OneNote in class? Is there lecture capture?
2) How are you liking the area/school?

1. you can use whatever you want for note taking in class! most of the professors post powerpoint prior to class starting
2. loving it! I get accepted to several schools but chose to go here. loving my school experience even more now that I'm in clinic - I'M SOOOO BUSY. Area is nice, close enough to go to the city if you need, plenty to do in the area but having a car would be suggested

Just received notification that my application is put "on hold," anyone thinks I'd still be given an interview on a later date?

touro is sooo expensive
do you know if they give scholarships

I was JUST looking at their tuition. I thought because they were a public institution they would be similar to other state school prices but it’s the price of a private

They have the same tuition for in state and out of state too :/

On August 19th I received an update that my application was put on hold; however I really don't know why as my stats are above their avgs from last years class and I have pretty diversified and solid EC's and rec letters. Does anyone think I'll get an interview at a later date?
oGPA: 3.61
sGPA: 3.48
DAT: AA 22, TS 22, nothing under 20

The financial aid part of the website literally just tells you about the govt loans lol

Touro is a private school

Has anyone else's AADSAS status changed to invited for interview, but haven't received an email invite yet?

Touro is a private school

Based on ADEA Explorer, it said it was public school.
But on wikipedia, it says it's private.
Can anyone confirm? haha

I got an Invitation to Interview! I'm scheduled for 12/11! This is huge for me. I applied last cycle and didn't get any interview invites, so I'm thrilled that I have possibly have a shot! Does anyone who was interviewed there want to share their experience? What questions were asked and such? Thanks!

School: Touro
Notification date: 8/21
Method of notification: Email
Residency: NY
AADSAS mail-out date: 7/27
Application complete date: 7/27
GPA (science, overall): 3.02, 3.02
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 22/22/19/22 (that 19 was the lowest, every other section was 21 and up)
Interview Date: 12/11

The GPA isn't...ideal, but my undergrad GPA was 2.97 so I went back and took some classes and managed to raise it a bit, so that may look good. I also did a year of AmeriCorps, working at a nonprofit for a year. I also volunteered at a hospice for a year after that, and I worked as an EMT for a year and half. Now I'm a CDA and (hopefully) about to get hired at an office that provides care to individuals who can't afford dental care, and the post will combine some administrative work as well. I really focused on my nonprofit work and my desire to help the underprivileged. I'm hoping that going back to improve my GPA and my good DAT score will balance out the poor undergrad performance.

I'm super nervous. My GPA was really bad, and I had given up nearly any of getting an interview over it, but I have some hope now, and I really need to crush this interview. If anyone has any sort of information on Touro's interviews, please send it to me. I want this so bad, and I must bend all my efforts to succeeding here.

Congratulations 🙂 I was invited last month and was only given December and January dates too, so I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Hello, i received an application complete email stating “ Your application has now been moved to the Committee. At TCDM, applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committee throughout the application cycle.”, but my status on AADSAS doesn’t say under review. It just states that it’s complete. Is this normal?

Ya it's normal, you might notice other schools being slow to update the AADSAS profiles also, or the inverse where they update aadsas first in batches then coordinate who to send emails too off of the spreadsheet they have for students. The delay is usually due to there being only a few people who are in charge of the nity grity of admissions work and you can only complete so much between before and after lunch. Overall this is a good sign though, keep yourself up to date with schools sending status messages; last year I had 1 school not update my status, so I sent an email and it turned out that they had actually not processed my application even though it was complete, i showed proof of payment and a week later received an offer to interview, so keep on top of things, sometimes things fall through the crack..to err is human
