**Interview Dates Offered: October 22nd - 29th
 
I never received an "application complete" e-mail from them and my AADSAS status has been "under review" for ~2months now

Tried calling/email but no response, anybody have a similar experience or know a way to reach out to them?
 
For those who received an interview early this week and left a voice message to select your interview date, have you gotten an confirmation email?

I left a message on monday around 10am and received a confirmation around 11am. Since the deadline was today it may be a good idea to call again and possibly send an email too just to be sure in the worst case it was missed, you dont lose your spot.

Hmm I left a voice message at 9 AM Pacific on Monday to confirm the Oct 29th and didn't hear anything back... Did you confirm the Oct 22nd date?

Same for me. I think there are too many applicants, so it's hard for them to answer the status of our application. We just have to wait.
 
My AADSAS status is still "Received/Waiting Additional Information" as of early August. Has anyone received an interview invite with this status?

Additionally, I received an e-mail on 8/12 titled "Application Incomplete" stating my official DAT scores had not been received yet. Their e-mail also states "When your application becomes complete, you will receive an email confirmation informing you of this status change " - my DAT scores officially posted on DENTPIN on 8/14 and Tufts still has yet to send a follow-up email to this day....anyone else on the same boat as me?!

Not sure if this is related, but I also have a pending 2nd semester physics & chem course to be taken Spring 2020 (retaking since I took them at a CC) - since this wasn't mentioned in the "Application Incomplete" email idk if anyone has any insight if this can also be a reason for my application being put on hold.

I am in the same boat. My AADSAS says "Received/Waiting Additional Information" when they were only waiting on my DAT scores, but those have been submitted since early August! I'm wondering if I should call and ask if they've received them.

I have tried calling on multiple occasions and no one ever answers 🙁 If you end up calling and getting through to someone....please keep me updated!
 
For post interviewed ppl: Do you get confirmation email from the school once your general dentist send in 40hrs shadowing confirmation email?

Is this a thing? lol I didn't know adcoms do that confirmation.
 
If we don’t have the 40 shadow hours for a general dentist but numerous hours from a specialist would it make a difference on whether or not we get an Interview ?
 
Hey for those that received an interview, did you guys also have to fill out a supplemental application? And if you guys did, what did it require you to fill out on the supplemental?

they sent out dates for November 5-7. When I told them I can't go those dates, they offered 11/12 and 11/19 so I assume these are the last pre december dates.

They literally never answer! I've been calling them a lot because my availability never worked with their interview dates, and every time I left a voice message. They contact back via email immediately though. I assume they never pick up the phone and keep all contact in writing.

Just email them! Emailed this morning and got a response in 5 minutes.

Just got an email from Tufts confirming application is complete! A whole 2+ months later lol

I don't know for sure, but they give you a blue sheet of paper at the beginning of the interview that either was checked off for everything complete, or had whatever you still needed listed. Multiple people were told they just had to either tell them they worked as a dental assistant or something, or have their dentist send a quick email that said you have shadowed for 40 hours. They said they just want to see the number of hours in writing, since some dentists will just say you spent "a summer in their office" or something like that.

Did you email them? Or did you just wait and they finally sent you a conformation email. Mine has been "Received/Waiting Additional Information" for a month and a half even though my application is complete.

Nope, I just waited patiently. I paid supplemental on 8/8 and got the "application complete" email on 10/23.

If you're interested in the content of the email:

"Thank you for your application to TuftsUniversity School of Dental Medicine. Your application is considered complete and will undergo review. Although your application is considered complete, we reserve the right to request additional information to fully evaluate your candidacy. Please note that our application review process involves a thorough review of each application and as such, is a lengthy process. It is possible that some applicants may not hear from us regarding their status for a significant amount of time. If you do not hear from us, please understand that it means that your application is actively under review and consideration. Should we require any additional information to complete our evaluation of your candidacy, you will be notified immediately. Also, you will be notified of your status as soon as a final decision has been reached.
The DMD interview process for the 2019 -2020 cycle begins in October 2019 and will likely conclude in February 2020. Invitations for our earliest interviews are released beginning in September and will continue on a rolling basis until all interview slots are filled. We anticipate extending interview invitations into the month of February 2020.
We understand that applicants are eager to learn of their status, however, we ask that you not email or call our office with such inquiries as the time we must take to respond to your inquiry results in a reduced amount of time to devote to reviewing your application. We will be in touch with you with updates as they occur. Thank you for your patience."

I interviewed already and my status went back to under review from invited for interview. Anyone same?
 
For those who recently received their interview invite, when did you get your email confirmation? Before or after their 7PM deadline? I left a message with my date but I’m anxious since I haven’t received the confirmation email, should I leave another message?

My confirmation email went to the promotions inbox of my gmail account instead of the primary inbox. Not sure if you are using gmail but thought I'd share. And I got it before the 7 PM deadline.

Those who completed Tufts supplement: Did you fill up the whole space to answer the question?
 
did anyone get an email confirming they received confirmation of 40 hours?
