She said to just complete it. I guess if you do want to wait for the end of the month for the email you can wait.

I applied in July and I got "are you still interested" email from the admissions. I'm not sure if they sent that out to everyone but I have not heard anything besides that..🙁

I applied in June and my DAT retake was complete in July (which I emailed them about, but never got a reply)...I received the 'application is complete and will undergo review' in July as well. Since then, I have not heard anything from Tufts...should I just assume I won't be receiving an interview?

I received this email last year and got an interview a few weeks later, I don't know if that was the case for everyone though. Good luck!

Last year, I received an interview invite in late Jan, so there's still hope.

The TUSDM Enrollment decision form states that applicants must "complete a criminal background check and provide the necessary permission to proceed with the criminal background check process within twenty (20) days of the initial request by Certiphi Screening, Inc." I submitted the payment for my Certiphi Screening today, 12/19/2019. However, my concern is if I actually met the requirements stated in the enrollment decision form. I am assuming I needed to submit the payment for my background check to be conducted 20 days after the initial email sent by Certiphi Screening (thus December 26, 2019). Is this correct? Because now I am worried that I needed to get my background check results back by December 26, and I am worried that will not happen due to the holidays.

Hey! How long did it take for you to receive more information about enrollment, background check, etc after you received your acceptance email with the YouTube video?

Had my interview last week & received an email yesterday congratulating me on my acceptance with the YouTube link!

(I hope this isn’t another one of their mistakes...)

Thank you & congratulations as well! From what I’ve heard, the email with additional steps is typically sent out days later from the initial congratulatory email. If it’s been over a week and still no update, I think it’s safe to give them a call!
 
my application changed to "under review" the other day and today it is back to "application complete", does anyone know what this could mean?
 
Does anyone know when is the last month the school offer an interview?

Depends. Did you have an interview? I think sometimes it means you have completed the interview process and sometimes it means they have reviewed your application and you have all the reqs

They really don’t do much apparently. When I interviewed at temple they strictly said not to send them. Also tufts sent an email saying any stuff sent to their email will result in a delay of your application review

Update: they actually sent me an email with further instructions exactly a day later from the congratulatory YouTube link email! Hopefully you’ve heard back by now. If not definitely call them!

I have not interviewed. It was only "under review" for maybe a couple days and then it changed back to "complete." Hopefully it means I will get an interview. I'm debating sending at letter of interest
 
For those who received an offer last week, is your deposit deadline also on 1/30/2020? This deadline only gives me two weeks to decide, which isn't a lot of time since I'm waiting to hear back from other schools I interviewed with that same week 🙁 ADEA's website states that if an offer is given between Dec 1st to Jan 31st, applicants should have 30 days to respond (ADEA AADSAS® Guidelines for Dental Schools When Extending Offers of Admission - 5th bullet point). However, this seems to be a mere "guideline" and not a hard rule...I'm hoping I can ask for an extension but not sure what the odds would be at approval

After the December decisions go out the amount of time you have to decide goes down. It make sense because they need to start giving other student interviews too if they haven’t filled up the seats. It’s not really fair to ask for more time and take up a seat for other students waiting.

I totally understand that. In the grand scheme of things I just thought January was still quite early especially since 1) schools know more interviews are given out after the initial January 1st deposit deadline 2) other schools who gave January offers still gave candidates the full 30 days and 3) the ADEA website also states if an offer is given starting Feb 1st then applicants should only have 15 days to respond.

BUT I also forgot Tufts’ last month to interview is February, which now makes a little more sense.

They don’t . They also sent an email saying they wouldn’t bc of the amount of applications they receive and emailing them any unofficial paper work only would delay the process
 
They don't reply and have heard that they don't appreciate updates either
 
They never reply...I asked them an important question regarding my DAT scores and whether or not they received them because there was an issue on the other end. It’s a simple question that never got answered so... :/

That is actually correct. They explained that in their “Application Received” email:

“Please do not send additional materials to our office, either in paper or electronic format, as it will significantly delay the processing of your application. It is our policy that if any information is missing, or if we require additional information to make a decision on your candidacy, the Admissions Office will contact you and request this information. If you do not hear from us, you can assume that your file is under review by the Admissions Committee. All status changes will be communicated via written correspondence.”

After an interview it seems like the next step would be that your application will be reviewed. What exactly are you worried about?
 
Has anyone who has been accepted received more info about financial aid? I think they were supposed to send a packet or something?

Got the email on 1/8 and replied back almost immediately. Haven’t heard anything back since...
