Hey,

Are they still inviting for interviews?
At my interview they said they had one round of interviews left for a post December interview. I don’t know if they already sent the emails for that interview, but if it’s the same it should be only for 30 students. Also, they said that the post-December interview is only meant to fill in the last couple spots.

Unfortunately, chances dont seem good now then.

They traditionally do 2 post December interviews. Sucks they would change it this year.
At my interview they said they do 10 total interviews. 8 pre-dec, 2 post-dec. 30 students each, 300 students total, and 2nd round of acceptances go out early Feb.

Does michigan offer in state after a year? I think its no but I'm not sure

during the financial aid presentation it was made clear that only way to receive in state tuition is if you graduated from a Michigan high school. they do not allow you to try and gain residency and change to in state 🙁

Ah I remember now. Thanks! Bummer

Looking for some advice. I'm a Michigan resident, and UofM is my top choice by a long shot. I have not received an interview invite or heard from them since my application complete email back in July. I retook my DAT late August. (Stats in signature) should I email them and ask for my application status or is it just going to annoy them at this point? I have seen that they still have interview dates, but don't know if all of the invites have been sent. I know it's not just a numbers game, but I was also a 4 year college athlete with other solid ECs and I don't think my app had any red flags since I've been accepted to 2 schools. I am just desperate to have a shot at being accepted to this school.

I would email. I emailed a school asking for status and showing interest when I had not heard from them in a while. They got me in their last pre-dec interview date and then accepted me w/ scholarship. Not sure if the email did the trick but you don't lose anything.

Thank you, and geez that's crazy! Any suggestions on what to mention or just straight up ask for a status update?

I was in the same exact position & the same happened with me. There’s nothing wrong with reaching out to them just to show that you’re very interested. There’s still 2 post December interviews so don’t lose hope!

Was curious of when schools start and saw that Michigan starts in JUNE!
How do you guys feel about starting school so early? I'm assuming the majority graduates undergrad in early May.

To the people that have been accepted, do you mind sharing your stats and application highlights. Currently a pre-dent from Michigan looking to see what it takes to get into this institution.

Just cancelled my interview on 1/18/19. Good luck to everyone waiting!

I’m having a suuuper tough time deciding between schools! Are there any Michigan D2s or D3s out there I could DM with questions? Possibly someone originally from the east coast? Thanks in advance!

Congrats to everyone accepted. I’m a current student at Michigan. Feel free to DM me if anyone has questions. I know I had a lot of questions when I was deciding between schools/after committing to Michigan.

If you haven't gotten an interview invite is it safe to assume that you've been rejected? This is the only school I need to take a certain prereq for and idw take it if I don't have to haha
