Received a big packet in the mail today from Penn Dental, any insight on what this might be? I am currently away at school and this was sent to my home address. Any insight what it may be?

I got a package with their brochure and a thank you letter for applying. It probably is that.
 
Does anyone know when's Penn's first interview date? I checked facebook group and someone got it on Oct. 4. Also does anyone know how many more interview dates there will be pre-Dec.?
 
I got my interview invite a few days ago! However, my packet was sent to my school address and I wont be back on campus for a few days since we start after Labor Day. Can anyone give me a brief idea of what the interview process is like since that information was not provided in the email. Thank you!

The packet has a lot of hotel fliers and a schedule for the day. There is also a form to confirm your interview date and to make a lunch selection. You have to send that form in order for penn to know you are coming.
 
for those who applied and received your interview invitations, what does your status say on the aadsas portal? if it says received/application complete with no invitations, does it mean a rejection :'(?
 
Received an interview invite via email this afternoon. Yesterday I noticed my AADSAS portal changed from application complete to under review and has not changed since.

Notification date: 9/4/2018
Method of notification: E-mail
Residency: NY
AADSAS mail-out date: 6/22/18(complete), 7/20/18 (verified)
Application complete date: 7/20/2018
GPA (science, overall): 3.73, 3.82
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 24/23/22/23/None (BIO 24/GC 20/ OC 26/QR 25)
I was surprised to get one, but thankful as well. So keep up hope, you never know when you'll get one 🙂
 
Just received the email invitation to interview!!🙂 However I still haven't gotten the pamphlet yet in the mail, anyone else in the same situation?

OOS applicant, cumulative GPA - 3.67, basic science - 3.46, DAT AA = 24

Under Review! 1st rejections occurred last year on Nov. 27, 2017 (not sure about status on portal), but you’ll get it as a formal letter in mail rather than email. Don’t lose hope yet!

I don't think so. Your application may not be in review yet.

Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think your status will change to "under review" when that happens.

Application complete date: 7/30/2018 (received app complete notification email from UPenn)

DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 25 AA/25 TS/23 PAT/25 RC/none below 17

Anyone know about how long it takes for the packet to come in the mail from the time they send the email?

My email said that they have openings on Thursdays and Fridays. I'm not sure if those are the only days they do interviews, or if the other days are full already.
 
Hi everyone, congrats on interviews and good luck to everyone! I called to schedule a date for my interview, but never received a confirmation email or anything. Is this okay? Did anyone get a confirmation email after calling?

Just wanna make sure its safe to go ahead and schedule my flights

I am planning on calling today. I just got the invite yesterday do you know what dates were available?

I wouldn't worry, I haven't gotten my packet in the mail yet! I don't think there is a confirmation email after calling.

Do you know what a good time to call is? I tried calling today but they weren't available.
 
My application for Penn was complete on 8/2. My aadsas status switched to "under review" two days ago. I haven't heard anything back yet. Is there any hope for me getting an interview. Should I assume getting a rejection letter in November 🙁?

I hope not! Mine hasn't even switched to "under review" yet....still says "Received/Application Complete" :shrug:

Mine’s still app complete too! But then again my app wasn’t considered complete by them until 8/22 so they probably haven’t even gotten to it yet 😳
 
My app was complete on 7/15, and I still haven't heard anything. This is my dream school, but this was the one school I applied to without the expectation of being accepted.

Not until 8/20.....there was a delay with me getting one of my LOR submitted.

So, it's been almost a month.....waiting it not fun... 🙁

But I'm trying to be patient and stay positive!!

There is no interview confirmation until after you've submitted the form that comes in the mail packet via email or fax. Just wait patiently if you still haven't gotten the packet if you're invited because it took them a while for me to get it!
