Has anyone called admissions?when are they sending acceptances, they said the class is half full
Idk what’s going on. They are way behind compared to the previous year trends . Jan 21 and Feb 3 last year had another batch of acceptances so idk what’s happening. They also sent the first interview invites pretty late. First week of nov instead of October so maybe that’s why they’re behind this time?

Waiting as well. I interviewed on Wednesday, February 8th... best of luck to everyone!

Has anyone accepted received their matriculation packet yet?
I only got the acceptance letter in the mail .. I was accepted on Dec. 13th. I'm hoping I'll get something once I pay my third installment of the deposit. Has anyone received anything besides the letter in the mail?

Does anyone know if the interviewers/facilitators have access to our GPAs/DAT scores during the mock pbl session?

I was accepted Dec. 1st and paid the installments in full by Jan 1st, but still have not received anything yet. I was also wondering when we will get them

I was invited for an interview, and had a question regarding the supplemental questions on “Applicant Profile.” How much did anyone of you write for the questions? How many paragraphs would you say is a recommended length for each question? Did you guys write the answer on a word doc on computer, or by hand?

Thanks in advance.

I wrote it on computer to make it look nicer and used max the space that was originally there. For some questions I didn’t write much at all like the question about your hobbies.

Anyone have insight on when they may send out acceptances?

Most people I know typed theirs, but I hand-wrote mine and used nearly all of the space for the elaborate questions. I interviewed thanksgiving week and was accepted December 13th, and my other friend who typed it was also accepted. So based on this small sample size, I'd say either one works =p

What were the dates/options that were given to you? And when did they email you the interview invite?

I had only March 21st as the option. They sent me the email yesterday afternoon. Did you get the invitation?

congrats! do you mind sharing your states?

Accepted Feb 23 (interviewed late Nov)! Pretty accurate regarding time frame that they told us at the interview since they said they only send out acceptances every other month - meaning Dec, Feb, April, etc..
Congrats! 🙂

Congrats to those of you who were recently accepted! Please join The USC School of Dentistry DDS Class of 2022 Facebook group (it is a closed group, so you will need to request to join). There are a lot of D1's already in the group, but the rest of the D2, D3, and D4's will join the group starting in April, so they can let you know which apartments/houses they are moving out of, and who is looking for roommates, etc. Feel free to ask questions there, too, and we will do our best to answer them.

Just quick question for those attended the USC interview, by what time dose the interview start? What time should I arrive at there? 8:15?

Has anyone from the February 14th interview heard back? I can't quite remember when they said we would hear back.

From what I heard you’d better be as early as you can.

I had my interview on a Wednesday and everyone trickled in around 8:00AM-8:30AM, but the actual interview presentation did not start until 9:00AM. Arriving at 8:15AM should give you enough time to check-in and mingle with the other interviewees!

I interviewed on the 14th as well and I got my acceptance on Feb 23rd! Hopefully you will hear back soon, good luck!!

I know there have been some posts regarding the structure of the interview, but I just want to clarify that it consists of: 2 icebreaker questions, a short writing prompt, and the PBL case? Are any admissions committee members present for the school tour or lunch to talk with one-on-one?

If I remember correctly, it's 2 icebreaker questions, then the PBL case, then the writing prompt as they go get your lunch. Lunch will be in your small group of 8-9 students with a few current dental students, who have no impact on the decision the school makes. Then afterwords, it's the tour and then the Fin Aid presentation. You don't really have any chances to talk to any adcom members 1 on 1. Hope this helps, and best of luck! 🙂

What is the writing about?

Hi. Do we get any dental or medical related questions on the ice-breaker section of USC interview?

Anyone know if USC is still considering people for interviews? :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:
From their email (the one you get right when you apply), it says they interview until March, so I think some interviews might still be going out for the very end of March! 🙂
What is the writing about?
It's a simple question, but I don't remember mine tbh. Don't worry too much about it.
Hi. Do we get any dental or medical related questions on the ice-breaker section of USC interview?
Not necessarily hardcore dental/medical questions, more like Who is your role model? Why USC? How would you contribute to USC? What do you fear most about dental school? Really broad but somewhat expected questions.

Has USC sent out any rejection letters yet? Or do they wait until right before school starts to send them all out?

Accepted 10 minutes ago Interviewed 11/29/ Texas resident will be turning it down
